JoL only has 120,000 HP. You're telling me they did enough damage to kill 5 JoLs every hour? Okay, sure.

First 12 forms were completed in 6 hours and 10 minutes maybe I think. Each form required 300K damage, so we were doing 500-600K damage/hour until we reached the harder mobs. You can't really compare it to JoL because we are killing Lamps that are CFH so have more than 18 people beating on them and most of the PW forms don't have high defence so melee damage is very effective on them.

Apparently it's finally been tested, and I'm all out of hope that there is anything to this NM but a stupid fucking neverending HP bar grind.

When you fight Olla Pequenia, if you CFH it... When Olla Media pops is it still CFH? If you CFH Ix' DRK and it dies and reraises... is it still CFH?

Olla repops uncfh as I recall (since it's a unique mob), PW doesn't repop after it's been CFH'D apparently, and god help you if you CFH a form that can Mijin.

I've read all 32 pages of this thread, I'm well aware it was an 18 hour fight, you are all amazing players who participated, it is ridiculously hard. I understand the lamps are the easiest part, I was just thinking of a way to cut down the time spent on them. (Even though the fight would still be ridiculously long.) Perhaps I should have been more clear when I posted my idea it was specifically to try and cut down time spent on lamps. Sorry for being unclear.

Lamps don't all stay together very well, doing an AoE or set of skillchains wouldn't work effectively.

I'm also feeling pretty certain the fastest way to down the lamps is with a strong combination of both melees and BLMs. And not overweighting with just one type.

Well, Lhexh already covered it but... JoL takes maybe half to 1/3rd the damage as most of the mobs in the PW fight. While I wouldn't call them squishy, they certainly weren't damage resistant.

That said, if JoL took the same damage I don't think that killing 5/hour would be out of bounds for the group of DDs/support we had there. Our fastest JoL kill was just under 30m, and that was with the tank PT in ally and while dealing like half to 1/3rd of the damage.

Nice idea, we should definitely try this!

Send Ruke a PM with the strategy, so they can give it a shot, next time they pop him.

The first AoE WS I ever got was Shockwave, and I'm still baffled as to why there is an AoE Sleep Great Sword WS.
