2) Make it so that the penalty for buying gil has teeth. Right now, we ban gilsellers, and give the buyers a slap on the wrist. If you ban 5000 accounts for RMT activity, and you feel really good about the assertion they were RMT, start looking at where they transferred gil to and from in that month. There has to be a buyer somewhere. Ban his ass too.

I personally would LOVE to see gil buyers banned along with the sellers. Hell for all I care they can post the names of gil buyers, while a select few would not give a shit the majority would be subject to ridicule and being judged by a jury of their peers. I mean can you imagine if SE banned gil buyers and/or gave public warning to non-habitual offenders?

The thought of being publicly ostracized by friends is more than enough deterrent to a majority of the gil buying database. The anonymity of it is part of the appeal I would imagine.
