i haven't read anything about mexican rmt, but carbuncle has a fairly big community of central american players who are definitely legit... and most of them ironically have a hard time making gil lol, but i guess if there is mexican rmt, this is the same argument for the legit chinese players aswell.

One of the sources that could help curb RMT's would be not allowing visa gift cards, or whatever crap that is, and requiring a card with an actual bank behind it. Much easier to track and banks will only issue so many cards, and, if they're anything like mine, they will make you pay for replacement cards if you "lose" them. They'd be limited to how many different numbers they could get to spam in accounts.
It would also be grand if they made people pay first month the instant they start playing, and get 1 or 2 months "free" after, and not like it is right now that you only pay at the end of the fist month, so that starting accounts would be pointless if they got banned before they could break even. They can still easily break even in a month, since the real cost only comes after they manage to stay unbanned when a new month comes around.
But whatever, I am quite aware that it will likely never happen. I still think it could help though.

I don't think it's possible to allow take Visa and not take Visa gift cards, even if you could tell the difference, I highly doubt that Visa would allow it.

Yes you would. This is the most common way I've seen this game, as well as others paid for by kids. I recommend this way of paying for the game countless times.

I thought anyone involved in the transaction of buying gil was banned, including buyer and seller? I mean, if they've found the seller, they can track the gil to the buyer(s). A few months ago I tested the claim that you can copy a certain file in the POL directory and transplant it to another computer, and be able to log in to the accounts saved in POL without providing a password.
Anyone know if this has been fixed yet? Who needs keyloggers when you can easily just copy a file and login to steal someone's gil/equipment.
This game has some serious security issues. I've been diligent keeping my PC secure, but who knows how long till they start writing trojans that exploit some security flaw (flash), install themselfs, kill your virus scanner and firewall, then steal your account info.

You are a total moron if you think that using social colloquial phrases is a sign of ignorance. If anything, he should be lauded for actually using a phrase that implies some level of education, instead of just commenting on the lawlSouth/red states.
By your logic, the following types of phrases imply ignorance when used (and thus presumably should not be used):
"Asian" -- since so many people use various definitions as to what is technically 'asia' and what is not, everyone who ever used this blanketing term would be ignorant, by your standards.
