Ranged Accuracy Macros - Please help.

From an EVA set, to an RACC set, back to an EVA set.

Can you initiate a ranged attack, then swap to RACC?
Can you swap to RACC, initiate a ranged attack, then swap back to EVA mid ranged attack?

What's the best way to get full benefit from RACC, while staying in EVA gear as long as possible?

As far as I know you want the RAcc gear on when the shot actually fires, but it's not like I've tested it, my /shoot macro swaps in 2x rings then swaps them back out after the shot fires.

Orz. I really wish I knew for sure, testing it would require a control mob and a parser and lots of free time...

You could probably test with some more obvious swaps, like equip a blind or venom bolt halfway through the shot for example. I'm fairly certain the stats are checked at the end like a magic spell though.

If this is for THF, a Ziska bow can usually land a shot between mob swings.

I'm pretty sure you can't switch ammo mid-shot. I tend to swap ammo often on thf and rng and it interrupts your shot if you try to equip a different bolt. Though that doesn't mean that Racc isn't still checked for at or near the end of a ranged attack.

Yea it definitely interrupts for swapping ammo, not sure about when the check is.

It'd make sense that with casting and other things that the check be at the end, but I have no easy way to test ... I'd need to make a macro for like, swapping before, in the middle, and near the end, and test each extensively on the same mob,

Not sure if additional effects are checked at the same time as ranged accuracy, but easiest way I could think of would be with Holy Bolts and a ton of MND gear if they are.

Not worried about when stats are checked. I don't know why people mentioned additional effects, I'm only concerned with when RACC is checked, and at what point during the ranged attack you can swap to RACC safely, or how soon after starting the ranged attack you can swap from racc to eva.

Gee, maybe because they're almost definitely checked at the same time, and using mnd gear/light staff to figure it out with holy bolts would be easy?

I don't follow your reasoning for the assertion that they're checked at the same time.

I would presume that additional effects are checked at the time the ranged attack actually executes... But you're locked into your ammo, because you cannot swap it in or out, in the middle of a ranged attack, and still complete that ranged attack.
