I did, but I received the generic "oh, I can see that this would be very annoying, we will carry out an investigation" etc etc. I've filed a report with the STF then, citing examples like this as evidence that they are simply tossing the sword presumably to maintain their own level of business and income, so hopefully we'll see results.

Yeah, if they're just tossing the sword, I think you did the right thing. That's just nasty.

Give it a few days, and see if they're still there after the monthly STF sweep.

Just bring a BST friend and have him place a few mantas inside Charybdis' room during the repops (16 minute timers). There are two mantas, one that is always spawned inside the room (and is not the PH) and the other will spawn sometimes in Charybdis' room and sometimes in the tunnel. He is your placeholder. Have your BST friend try to charm this manta and hold it. With a few BSTs in there, you can plant a ton of mantas in and around the jerks.

Managed to get a claim from them last night, allowing me to get the Joyeuse I was seeking; people came down there for ToD but seeing Nakabot and his pet mage, they offered to help us get claim just to stop them getting it. It popped right on top of him (of course) but one of our people voked it in time, very lucky.

But nope, assholes still down there. Most recent quoted price was 4,000,000g.

I asked them to buy the sword and they initially said 2m, but I offered 400k to see what they would do, and they lowered to 1m. They would probably go even lower if someone were to try.

I had a friend try to talk to them but they ignore everyone of his /tells so I think their afk till right before window opens.

I doubt their rmt a lot of jp have taken an interest on camping nm nonstop lately. Their is one in East Ronfaure (S) he has been there 5days straight comes back every few mins to check on nm. Best part is his name is sparetime.

You may have to give in and purchase the sword from them. Even know that sword is nice but it isn't worth 1.5mil ><.

I would literally file a report every single week until something is done. What they are doing falls under the category of griefing. They are impacting players other than themselves when they throw away the sword. They are doing the same exact thing that RMT's did with Ulli before they "fixed" him. When they drop the sword they are basically holding it over everyone's head. It's either buy the sword from me or you don't get it etc. It's griefing, especially when they announce it in /say.

The next time they claim it and start fighting I would immiediately call a GM so they can monitor the entire interaction once the fight ends and they throw the sword.

Been camping Chary for a few weeks. Everyone that knows Chary knows and understands how that goes. So tonight myself and some friends are camping it and we miss claim. No biggie. Another person then in /Say mentions how the Ninja that is tanking it is selling it. Ninja openly says he does it with other items too and he checked with a GM and it's fine.

Called a GM and sure enough the GM said it's legal since there can be no proof of a player paying for <insert rare/ex item>.
