That glitch happens quite a bit. When there are no units there, the mobs stay there attacking it until the battle ends, a unit shows up there, or you can drag a mob there and aoe it so it'll link onto you. It's quite annoying when everything is dead except for 4-5 glitched mobs stuck in the wall and they end up winning cause we can't attack them.

I called a GM about it and all he said was it's a known issue they are working on, a lot of people were annoyed lol.

This is the general rule, but there are some exceptions. Cerane I Virgaut frequently deploys with her Aragoneu Knights in Victory Square, rather than run to meet them from her non-battle location in front of Count Caffaule's Manor. The same hold true for Leonoyne, though his non-battle location much closer to Victory Square. Noillurie almost always deploys with her troops infront of the Chocobo Stables.

Counting Cerane I Virgaut makes it four Generals that run through San d'Oria. Yrvaulair S Cousseraux does, but he is neither offensively or defensively remarkable. Febrenard C Brunnaut, who while not particularly offensively powerful, possess near limitless healing capacity. Mieuseloir B Enchelles who is absolutely beastly in both respects and covers the most ground. Leaving Cerane I Virgaut, who occasionally covers a significant portion of territory and is practically indestructible.

All these generals either run to Victory Square (the most common combat site) or from Victory Square towards the direct the beastmen armies invade from.

I know that Sonia stands near Firewater Circle when not in combat, but she actually runs away from it when her unit is deployed? Seems kind of counter-productive. :/

(Wacky idea, give people Clear Mind +50 and triple the effect of the Sigil Regen and Refresh when they have campaign tags.)

The tank situation is pretty much comic at this point. Most Paladins don't even try to tank mobs, they are more than content to feed TP to whatever I am fighting instead of grabbing a mob off of the fortifications and soloing it. (Oh wait, that requires some strategy, no need for that!) It's even sadder when Ninjas refuse to try to solo anything and instead just auto-attack whatever anyone else has. Now I can understand not being to hold hate off of my Warrior, even off of my very exuberant Blue Mage, but it is utterly ridiculous when Paladins and Ninjas don't even attempt to try to get even a little hate when my Red Mage is tanking something. I know that I am awesome and all that, but Red Mages are not uber damage machines that rip hate away from any tank in the vicinity.

They need to increase the points that you get for curing and for tanking, as well as a Clear Mind boost.
QFT, however!!!!... I can effectively melee and still cast cures on people (been doing this since 70 on WHM) which will give me a lot of EXP at the end overall (<3 /sch). Its more work overall but more useful. I stop meleeing if its something like North Gustaburg with those -ga spamming Quadav especially if we have NPCs fighting too.

As for the /brd people... The only solution I can think of is heavily decreasing the amount of exp you can get from buffing yourself, but in the end people will still bot anyway because they are getting EXP regardless in the end. Perhaps the EXP based overall in the entire campaign?... I am sure SE will come up with some fancy solution hopefully.

So far, I have reported the two people I knew who were botting with /brd in Campaign. It was very obvious when they were still doing their same pattern of buffs even when Campaign was over. I have yet to see them online for two weeks now so I am assuming they got banned or something.

--Cures need a heavy EXP increase and greater MP recovery (stronger refresh/clear mind bonus/conserve mp bouns/items bought from npc to increase such recovery better than what we have now)
--NPCs need to come out in bigger groups or have more durability. Grauberg has often 4 clans of Quadav at least and you see 5 Bastok NPCs and Adelheid running up to fight them all at once...
--Or maybe some super broken gear with "Campaign: ____" effects that are attainable through AN or something
--Nerf Petrifyga from the BST in Pashlow Marshlands and his pets. I have NEVER seen an entire NPC army go down to one mob like that.

*fap fap fap* I would be like unto a god /Dnc with this thing, less damage taken, more damage cured, and Retaliation already makes my TP gain silly, Doubles, and probably Triples sounds awesomely fun.

Just need them to fix Campaign so we can actually make headway again.

You know what really sucks that I've discovered recently? Double weakness in campaign.

So there I am, healing behind the action after getting shadow handed to the face, and all of a sudden the kaiser behe spawns literally right on top of me and curb stomps me for 1k+ damage. I couldn't have survived it nonweakend, but it put me out for the rest of the battle.

Thats why you see mages meleeing. Because as effective as they are at blasting the shit out of mobs, that doesn't hold a candle to the xp they get from not dying.

Not only is Bastok Markets [S] a real estate nightmare compared to the fluidity of Southern San d'Oria [S], the troops seem to be deployed in areas of the city that just don't make any sense.

It's ludicrous that when the city is literally overwhelmed with mobs, it's assumed no one thought to send a runner to the troops and NPCs lurking by the home point for example or that anyone down those steps by the home point doesn't run up and help when the upper level is attacked. Obviously we try and run mobs to the NPCs but it doesn't always work because you die and some idiot trails them back the other way.

I'm sort of sick of Campaign because every time I try and participate I can't get Sigil until one fight is done. I am forced to defend Bastok constantly because I can't get out. Poorly planned. I could move to Windy but unless the gear improves with the last ranks, there's no real reason to. Also I'd like to defend Bastok, it's my home nation but it's ridiculous right now. We never seem to make any progress. The fights are so constant it's almost impossible to get ops done if you're in the wrong part of the zone. Same with Sigil. Sometimes you can't make it to the NPC before the next fight starts.

It's the hardest city to get to for non citizens, its NPCs are deployed appallingly across the zone and the gear, aside from a couple of pieces, sucks. Sandy on the other hand has NPCs in the right places and arguably the best gear which on my server means it's the only city not overrun by beastmen.

SE likes Sandy I guess. Switching nations might not make things any easier - they might start getting attacks too.

--BRD and /BRD fixing. Honestly, I have no idea how you'd do this... but wow does it need some kind of fix. Perhaps limit the amount of EXP obtained via a certain action per campaign battle (as defined by the server), instead of every time you get tags. The limit could go up at higher levels and eventually go away at 75. For BRD mains, perhaps you could give some kind of AOE-but-lesser effect for players in an AOE... like how SMN buffs work. ...Actually, does it already work that way? I wouldn't know, since I've never once seen a BRD or COR in campaign.
Brd songs are enhancing I think..they could lower the cap on enhancing points. Some players take the liberty of MPKing the /brders. It's kinda funny to see the entire yag army rammed into the campaign tag NPC.

I mean good god, what the hell are you doing standing there as a 75? Good lord. Get the hell out of my burning city.
    Hahaha.

--Allied medics vs beastmen medics. What's with their endless MP, AOE buffs and constant high-tier cures? I both laugh and cry a little at the same time when a mushroom-hatted hume medic casts Cure1 on me after I take 750dmg from a -ga3. ...Then is kind enough to cast P1 on me when my own P2 wears.
And casting phalanx on mobs, casting SS on mobs, etc etc. Nobody can do that, not even scholars since Phalanx I/II still needs to be done on a PT member same for RDM phalanx II. (Accession wont work as you can't select NPCs with phalanx). And this is where I thought NG would be easy to win back. The medics on bahamut are up there enough to cast high tier cures and ProIV/Shell IV. Hmm maybe we do need to start partying up? But people wont do that.

campaign mobs should flee and rage unless they're within a certain distance of the fortification.

You talk about the Kindred in Campaign as if you're referring to the measley Shadowhand, Shadoweye, and Shadowhorn groups. Pretty sure they're only related to the Kindred in name.

When Xarcabard is released we're probably going to get the full Royal Court to deal with. I know you probably don't want to hear that, but it's likely true.

You know what? It wouldn't surprise me if SE was dirty enough to have the SHADOWLORD coming in with shadow groups. That would be epic rape if he's anything like Dynamis Lord(or worse). And for crying out loud have it where hate resets when you RR from death. You shouldnt have mobs coming after you when you RR. "I REMEMBER YOU BITCH. BRING YOUR FREAKING ASS HERE".

Maybe it's time to start doing some military training ops? I'm not sure if those would make the medics more effective, but it couldn't hurt.

Well, there is apparently text in .DAT files for the names of the Dark Kindred's troops, including a "Shadowwing Battalion" and "Dark" Yagudo/Quadav/Orcs/Gigas. Though it would be interesting to see whole squads of Kindred and/or Tonberries in the Dark Kindred.

Hideous attack called "Doink!" where the Tonberry knifes you in the crotch for 9999. It'll be bad enough that it also AoE stuns everyone around you from sheer shock at the nastyness.

When I was doing besieged alot, it was frustrating that the points rewarded to people isn't very fair. As a THF I could solo/tank practically every mob and do good damage but I would end up with shit for points compared to people who were not even actively participating.

They need to adjust how points are given and/or capped for healing, taking damage AND also doing damage.

Besieged has a points cap, if you aren't hitting the cap during a Besieged then I have to wonder what exactly you're doing unless you're like lvl 60.

If it didn't have a cap, with all the 2hr and TP spamming, I could probably hit the points cap 10-20 times over in a 1 hour battle.

    You mean Campaign?

You have to vary the things you do, deal damage, cure damage, take damage, cast spells, use JA's, buff yourself or others.

On Thf you can't cure as much, you aren't taking as much, so you have to make up the deficit by doing damage, using JA's, casting Utsu, and using Bolts to cure yourself.

I do War/Dnc because the constant JA spam, gobs of damage taken/dealt/cured, and residual buffing others with sambas gives more points than most combos, Pld/Dnc beats me, I've been beaten by Blu/Whm and Drk/Whm at times, Drk/Nin when they really work it, Whm/Nin too, but that's about it.

Notably, the jobs that beat me on points from time to time almost all are able to spam JA's, Spells, and deal/take/fix a lot of damage.

Hmm, that's odd, my post above wasn't there a second ago.

Ah yeah, most melee /Dnc will do pretty well, I forget about Sam/Dnc, though you can actually hinder your max exp by using Seigan full time instead of riding hasso and just using Seigan when you start to get overwhelmed, and yeah Drg/Whm/Rdm/Blu is just hax for a lot of this shit.
