I've heard the GM Call thing too but, let's be honest, they're in an active battlefield. I'd love to explain to a GM: "Oh, they were killed on a battlefield where dozens of monsters are running around trying to kill everyone? I can't imagine how that might have happened."

Shadowhand and Shadoweye have become my weapons of choice. Shadoweye can Firaga you before the nerobots can realize that you're the target of the spell (poetic justice) and Shadowhand will sleep them all before they get a chance to drop their tags. Most of them wont survive the Thundaga/Earth Crushers that immediately follow. Shadowhand's troops are fun too, since their AoE Drown effect will remain even after you turn in tags.

Campaign really bugs the shit out of me.
Before I got Dnc to 35 (now 37), I'd usually go Sam/Nin.

I'd normally be able to solo NQ mobs as Sam/nin, with a mix of Utsu and seigan dropping/adding. Of course, then some Joy rdm or Whnja would come and start feeding the mob tp...and needless to say, I'd croak while begging for cures. It's such a shame really. When I went blm to campaign I'd always cure people, gravity adds etc.

Now that I have dnc37, I'm pretty much invincible with Drain Samba2, Soboro, and Seigan.
It really pisses me off when people who are *perfectly* capable of solo'ing mobs come and poke my mob that I'm solo'ing.

Not because it hurts my exp or anything, but because there's 50 mobs currently raping the fort, and I'm trying my best to pull as many off it as fast as I can.

Bleh. Campaign people are annoying, which is why I usually just go with my Pld/dnc friend, as Sam/dnc. We don't have to worry about selfish mages and whatnots. :3

I think /DNC beats /NIN in Campaign in nearly every case, anyway.

You take more damage (exp gain) you heal more damage (exp gain), you use more JA's (exp gain)....as opposed to capping on Ninjitsu in no time.

Heck, for exp gain /RDM beats /NIN. And gives you Gravity + Enspells for good measure.

I usually like to RDM/DNC Dagger (Energy drain) + aspir samba
Tanking a mob and curing others for more points! Nah that never works....
Sadly I only Campaign to keep my medal anymore.

Edit: I love assisting Bravo (that one NPC's wyvern) that thing just spams radiant breath and you can haste it!

The whole concept of 30 people beating up walls with no monsters around... for 30 minutes is just bad game design.

I'm going to reiterate the /brd sentiment in Campaign: Fuck those bitches.

It's so pathetic zoning into Campaign and you step in a clusterfuck of 15 people singing songs. I'm seeing people with 75MNK/11BRD spamming songs instead of beating shit up. If you're over 60+ you can be contributing to a certain extent, not fucking sitting there fiddling with /brd being a useless fucking twat. No fucking wonder beastmen has control of everything.

I don't even get that much EXP singing songs alone... I get much more exp on my BRD through a combination of melee, healing, debuffs and buffing. I tried once to copy what the other BRD's were doing but it didn't get me much EXP. I must be missing something

They are botting. You are not. Therefore they are not bothered by the xp rate they are getting. If it's anything like what I was getting back when I used to spam buffs with accession with SCH getting 336xp per, it can add up pretty quickly. And songs don't need mp, so no downtime from resting :/.

I help these people get exp.

By taking damage and dying. It's a kindness.

And I'll repeat a tactic noted elsewhere for rendering the bad guys putty:

Kill garrison units. Constantly. Doesn't have to be during Campaign, in fact it's better that way. Garrison units can and will be defeated if they take enough damage, and the killing reduces their morale- and units can be bigger than the spawned defenders- when it is, new ones will pop as you kill old ones. Just keep ganking them. It demoralizes them, and makes it easy for Allied units to win (and hence level up) and gain influence in the area.

Sing a few songs. Turn in tags. Retag. Repeat. Be hated by everyone else actually fighting.

When you check a zone for people during a Campaign battle, and can count half of those people standing around singing by the npc, you start to lose any sympathy for them. I could probably tell you how to maximize those points, but I won't.

i know but SMN gets poor xp in campaign

PLD i always go fight and tank/war or /dnc for 3k per campaign but smn

Get clubs and melee. Meleeing on mage jobs is the best way to get max MP. Even with my club skill still kinda sub-par, I hit fairly well and fairly often, and I get 1-3k per battle on average.

and last question does the pet dmg help your own xp?

That's a question I don't know the answer to. But I'm pretty sure those AoE buffs you do give you xp (otherwise SMN wouldn't bother with them), so I'd guess pet damage does too.
