It's a glaring plot hole no matter how you view it, if he's able to go back from the future, then he should be able to go back again. I was really scared that we were going to lose Elle for a second there, like really fucking scared. When Sylar said "I got that from your Claire" that was fucking epic. Poor HRG.

Yeah, but the idea is that any change you do in the past, something compensates for it and something else fucks up. So messing with time often doesn't result in a net gain.

Also, I'm thinking Linderman isn't real. I mean, Tracy said nothing to him when she walked past him and I think her personality would have said something. That works for me, Linderman really shouldn't be alive.
