maybe he was with all the stuff writters are pulling of their magic hats... but yeah![]()
It's just like the extra tooth at the beginning of the episode.
I'm so glad I can turn off my brain, and enjoy shows. I thought the episode was very entertaining. Its hard not to WTF at Sylar just appearing places and shapeshifting with different clothes. I dont care, in the long run it was still fun to watch.
If he can change his DNA to match these people, wouldn't he get their powers too?
Sylar has just become too powerful for the show, I dunno wtf the writers were thinking this season when they beefed him up even more. Episode was good, but there is no sense of impeding conclusion... S1 had a buildup & the ending was still kinda thrown on everyone, S2 had a buildup and the ending was still tossed on everyone w/in 2 episodes, but S3 doesn't have a sense of "finale" outside of everyone getting caught at the very end.
And I thought Power's Peter's evolved a little more, I want to see a damn Peter vs Sylar showdown (oh, maybe if he touches Sylar he gets all of Sylar's abilities... that would be expected), but I bet we gonna get some one sided fight that lasts less then 53 seconds
edit: fixed morning spelling errors
I think the writers mentioned he doesn't change his DNA completely when he turns into them; he changes the DNA associated with phenotypical expression (yay genetics). Therefore, all he can do is look an speak like them, but he can't get their neurons or memories because those develop as you go (and memory isn't in a DNA strand - appearance and everything else is).
Having typed that, though, and knowing what I know about genetics, there technically shouldn't be a reason he couldn't access their power (whoops, writers, should have studied genetics) since the brain is where it is and the genetic map for the brain is included in every cell as well. While he can't replicate their thoughts and feelings technically he should have the capacity to switch the genes for their powers on/off.
That's if he truly manipulates DNA the way he says he does. Of course, you'd have to overanalyze the show to see that.
This.
The only person who can even come close to stopping him now is Matt Parkman or the Haitian. Haven't seen the Haitian since the beginning of the season and with the reason showing of the knife in the back of the head doesn't work anymore. I don't see any way to kill him unless you sawed off shotgunned his head.
I read somewhere that the crew liked 1961 so much that they'll have all of the kids back next year to show more of the history of the company. I'm hardly interested in that but I'm still anticipating it a lot more than I am anything to do with the current characters.
The AV Club and Television Without Pity recaps for this last episode were both pretty funny and spot on in their criticisms. It was a trainwreck.
Im getting a strange feeling ZQ is being written out of the show due to his new shapeshifitng ablity and inablity to control it. I dont know why but I have a strange sense he doenst want to do another season or they dont have the cash to pay for him. I feel it could be a cop out for getting a different actor to play Sylar.
Altho still loving this season better then last seasons. Hoping Baby Parkman will restore Peters true ability or even have Ando super charge him. Also can sYlar please kill Hiro off he is being a whinging little so and so since losing his powers and then regaining them.
So, Sylar's dad tells him the real thrill of taking abilities is not in the having, but in the hunt. Sylar joins Denko to get new abilities, even though it removes some of the hunt.
None of that is important though because Sylar's need to use his new shapeshifting ability to work with Denko is causing him an identity crisis. After a schizophrenic episode where he thinks he talks to his mother, he decides the best way to regain his identity is to... replace the president, a man under much more scrutiny than Agent Whatever, meaning Sylar is going to spend even less time as himself.
That about sum it up?
Probably because ZQ is in Star Trek and will now command too high a price to act in Heroes any more ;P I bet they get him "trapped" somehow in some other body, lol.
