Flight can be achieved by telekinesis.

Hid it from the "new" Nathan, that's for sure.

Surely the 'new' Nathan would question why he can't fly or get hurt.

I can see him jumping off a building to fly, fail, then hit the ground. Heal up and be like "WTF??"

In addition to how terrible this finale was, there really weren't any significant cliffhangers for next season; it doesn't seem like there would be anything to miss by not watching it.

Just had to get one more thing off my chest. They see Sylar playing Nathan on T.V so they rush to go save the day. When Claire meets Sylar at the room he is clean shaven and getting dressed. So much for hurrying to save the world. First lets shave and beat off in the shower.

Also I'm a bit confused on the location. It wasn't D.C was it? They didn't drive from the desert to D.C over night.

Angela saying her dreams were never wrong really bothered me. Didn't she dream her husband killing Peter in this same damn season?

Edit: Also I like how someone finally remembered Nathan has a wife and kids.

Plus, Nathan died due to his throat being cut... How is anyone even going to prove that a "special" killed a senator? Unless they mean all the other shenannigans, in which case "Nathan" being alive doesn't fix anything. Then we get to go to a "preview" of next season, where oh no, really? Everything isn't going according to this genius plan! Because we can't have a single moment where things aren't spelled out for the audience, in mile high letters. That are on fire.

Seriously Heroes, I know your writing is not supposed to be very high up there on the making-sense tree to begin with anymore, but really. REALLY.

See, now if Sylar had like electro-shocked Nathan into a pile of ash or something, I would have bought this. Just a little blood loss is nothing compared to bullet through the eye.

Really? What the hell was that? I'll stick with Lost and Rescue Me, I don't need to spend any more time on this show. You guys pretty much summed it up, they outstupided themselves.

This show is such a tease, every time you think its good it goes to crap again. Oh well. I did like seeing Peter actually doing shit.

Also, can we explain where Sylar keeps getting new shit from? Did he get Doyle's power or was he just using telekinesis to emulate it with Claire?

Wow they keep thinking of bullshit ways to keep Sylar around. It doesn't take that 5 minute preview at the end to figure out that he's slowly gonna start remembering who he is.

Okay, now that I took my girlfriend home... I can get to what I thought of the episode.

1) Hiro, Peter, and Matt were by far the only great parts of this episode. The fact that Hiro sacrificed his health just to save HRG is one of the saving graces of this episode. Claire was actually bearable for a change in her scenes with Sylar.

2) Really, Angela? You really saw in your dream that Matt saved Nathan? He was ALREADY DEAD WHEN YOU GOT THERE. Didn't see that coming, did you? Maybe if you had bothered to stick with Claire Nathan wouldn't be dead.

3) Really, Noah? You FORGOT how Claire's blood helped you regenerate when a bullet went through your eye and you died? You FORGOT how you could have maybe suggested to Angela that you rid the world of Sylar, have Matt track down Claire, and have Claire revive Nathan?

4) Really, writers? You hyped up another Peter/Sylar confrontation and all we got was closed doors, flashes of lightning, and Nathan and Sylar crashing through just as Peter and Claire left? Then, in genuine Heroes anticlimactic fashion, Sylar slits Nathan's throat with a gesture and Nathan just bleeds out. Right there. No epic lines. No glib remarks. Just Nathan bleeding to death and never saying a word. What a way for one of the best (and most exploitable, story-wise) characters to die on your show to a Mary Sue who's a great actor but is also the most overrated villain you have.

5) Peter one-upping Sylar was easily his best scene in the entire show. No question.

6) Really, Angela? You're that upset that Nathan is dead that rather than realize your granddaughter can save his life you'd rather have Sylar pose as him and force Matt to make him impersonate Nathan just to have a relationship with him? All because you can't lose Nathan? Shouldn't you be exhausting more options than making the world's most dangerous man into your son, knowing that it probably won't last?

7) Really, Sylar? You can shift the contents of your brain so that your sweet spot is somewhere else? I'm curious as to why they even thought up this DEM power-up for Sylar. So pointless.

8) Really, Tim Kring? You really think people will keep watching just because Adrian Pasdar is still technically playing Nathan? Come on now. You just destroyed about 2 seasons worth of potential story because of all the loose ends Nathan's departure will never tie off.

9) The ending to season 2 was much more satisfying than this was. This isn't a cliffhanger. This is predictably terrible television that I will never watch again.

10) Really, Tracy? You can't freeze people anymore? What the heck? This was as much of a disappointment as Peter not getting all of his power back (and subsequently, Peter only absorbing Sylar's shapeshifting as well as Sylar somehow morphing back into himself when Peter touched him... wait, why did Sylar steal Clint Howard's power again?).

The only characters I really wanted to see develop were Matt and Nathan (well, and Peter). They butchered Hiro and took away his powers, they gave Ando and Mohinder powers, they added Danko (who is a badass), and they ruined all potential relationships between the characters.

Matt has gotten much more development and I couldn't be happier, but I bet he'll be dying next season once Sylar realizes he's not Nathan and that Matt is responsible. I'm calling it now. Unfortunately, I'm just not going to be seeing it because I'll be cancelling my DVR recordings of it. They had so much potential to take this show somewhere once they put Fuller on board... but he didn't even write this episode...

Volume 5 has potential, but I just don't care enough about the characters anymore to bother. So yea, as I said before... I'm done with Heroes. There hasn't been a big payoff in a while and there doesn't appear to be one. It's a shame... Greg Gunberg, Milo, Cristine Rose, Adrian, Masi, even Quinto are all great in their roles (when they're written correctly) and I'll be sad when they cancel the show.

Heh, well I still liked the way they ended this volume... The beginning of Volume 5 seems meh though, I was hoping they'd drop Sylar out already.

I kind of didn't watch it just for this reason, I had expected this as much I will get around to it but it didn't take more than a quick glance to see all the dissatisfaction so I know I did not miss too much. Really a shame, I knew something was aloof when the season was winding up to be a sudden showstopper and that can really ever only be bad, very bad.

We can all hope and pray next volume will be better, but in reality we all know that they will continue to disappoint fans......I am beginning to wonder if the writers of Heroes did ACP as well...

Also, why did Sylar revert to his original form when in the car with the President/Peter? Peter doesn't take power, he just absorbs them. I so confused.

He shook his hand and tried to turn into the president but couldn't do it because it was Peter.

That part I actually thought was cool. Most of the rest of this was just a waste of time.

I forgot about that. But then again, Season 2 was horrible aside from the lovely Kristen Bell and I put it out of my mind. And also, it's not my fucking job to remember this shit, like it kind of is for the writers of the show.

What kills me with this show is the wasted potential. Some great actors, some great characters, and nothing good happens. It's getting painful.
