First episodes looking good so far and I can't see how any one hating on this show can be like oh I can't wait for lost I was a die hard lost fan but it seems like all the same rehashed shit it started getting god again but by the time its on again I for one will lose interest
Yes, we're all haters for having an opinion. Awesome.
Sorry, I love Heroes and I didn't say anything I hated about the premier... just certain parts that were pretty awfully presented.
If not jerking off at the revelation that Sylar is a Petrelli makes me a hater then I guess I am one, despite the fact that I am a huge fan of the show.
I LOL'd hard at the Greatest American Hero getting turned into Ice cubes.

And does the Mohinder story seem alittle like "The Fly"? I wouldnt be surprised if Maya is prego witn a Mohinder fly baby.
Well, haters or not, I hope everyone agrees that this is about a million times better than season 2 ;o
I understand everyone has their own opinion, and for me, these two episodes were as good as the best Heroes episodes that I remember.
Somehow, I don't think Sylar is a Petrelli. I think she was just saying it because she was at the beginning of all the madness and is in a way all of this new generation's 'mother'
I just disagree, I don't think these 2 were even close to the frikken awesome season 1 episodes. Season one was just so revolutionary and inventive. Hell, tbh, I didn't have a problem with season 2. If Sylar becomes a badass super-hero, I'll be incredibly impressed and immediately drawn back in.
I think Sylar could very well be a Petrelli since his power is so similiar to Peters...
Overall yeah its better then Season 2 but I kind of liked the dystopian future they showed us when peter went forward in season 2... same way w/ Hiro in season1. So far not really telling us immediately what is wrong in the future outside of the smoke monster/darkness Hiro sees is annoying to me, especially when Tim Kring said after season 2 that in hindsight showing what peter sees in the future after the virus has destroyed everybody should have been in the first episode. (and have they completely dropped that storyline w/ his girlfriend stuck in that alternate future?)
edit: Season 2's only real problem imo was the pacing, i.e. having 2/3 of the season w/ Hiro in 17th century Japan was silly and they knew it. Outside of that I thought it did a good job following up to Season 2, I mean the nightmare man was built up sufficiently well and then the showdown w/ him and Matt was amazing as was what I saw as Matt beginning down the same slippery slope as his dad. I wish they do continue on the vein of the previous generations power struggle w/ Adam + Parkman's dad somehow involved w/ the villains (iirc Parkman's dad was w/ the villains in Angela Petrelli's dream so fingers crossed)
As for Lost bashing, the writers of Lost continue to give us some revolutionary twist every season; most of the annoyance for me comes from having to wait a year that I spend bashing my head against a wall trying to figure the mysteries out. Otherwise, I think the writers of Lost are leagues ahead of everyone on TV outside of maybe Mad Men and BSG in terms of planning shit out across several seasons.
I wasn't referring to you specifically in my Haters GTFO out comment, but you seem a little scorned by it....
I am referring to the people who every season come into this thread to tell us all how bad every episode sucked and how the show is so dumb and then proceed to argue with everyone.
If you don't like it, don't watch it. It isn't like you are being forced to.
Now back to the topic. The only scene that disappointed me last night was when Hiro went into the future. I would have killed to have a giant lizard appear as the force destroying the city.![]()
Yes, they dropped that storyline. She ceased to exist when Peter saved the future.
Also, the smoke destroying Tokyo... I think it has something to do with one of the villains' powers.
Not so much scorned as I am wondering why people generalize criticism as hating when they are two very different things.I wasn't referring to you specifically in my Haters GTFO out comment, but you seem a little scorned by it....
I'm drawn more towards the paintings that you found in multiple scenes of the earth splitting in half... I'll agree that it looked like a shockwave, but it also looked like the ground was splitting. I'd imagine a planet breaking in half would have tremendous impact on the atmosphere sending shockwaves itself... My guess is Sylar used the black materia.... dammit...
I didn't hate the episodes at all, they just were not as good as I was expecting them to be after all the hype. I'm a huge Heroes fan, and will continue to watch, but last night's episode(s) got me confused, and save for a few parts, didn't keep me very entertained. For example, when Sylar was in Claire's house...no one else was just laughing at how stupid/shot like a slasher movie/ that was? Please. She hid in a closet and put chains around the door and expected him not to get in. It was just one of those "ugh" moments for me.
I hope HRG is a complete badass now and somehow magically gets powers like everyone else is seeming to. He's still my favorite.
my only problem with the whole episode is the "Hand of God" aspect of it...
dammit, hard to read this thread since I havent watched yesterday's episode yet![]()
I would be surprised if HRG didn't have some kinds powers in the end seems off 1 man without any powers getting involved with the organization in the first place.
Might be something we get to see this season.
I also wasn't blasting lost for just sucking. Like I said in my post I'm a fan of it but until middle or end of last season it was getting a bit old.
Ah yes I remember now well totally forgot about that.
