ok this episode was season 3 ep1 on G4 last night correct?
Watched it last night... It was a really good episodes but (imo) they just put too much into it & covered way too much ground, kinad making it bit too convoluted. I agree w/ a lot of other people in what they said, not to mention the whole "Angela being Sylar's mother" thing seemed plain stupid. I have to agree that I'll be surprised if it's really true... I'm pretty confident Angela becomes one of the "villians" and this is just another example of her manipulating ppl... it's prolly how she gets Sylar to cooperate and help them, by giving him love and care and making him feel special, yatta yatta.
I dunno about Niki's new personality... I don't think her power is super strength, I think she really has the ability to absorb other ppl's personalities (and their personality allows her to use their powers). I mean it was her sister who had super strength, not her. But Niki was able to use her sisters powers when Jessica took over. They kinda gave it away in Season 2 when that other girl took over and she went to LA. I view her the same as Peter, but she absorbs powers in a different way. And the reason the other ppl's personalities take over is because Niki doesn't know how to control them yet. But dunno, maybe she needs to see these people die in order to take their powers.
One thing about Heroes is that we all know it will be eventually explained in the 13 episode's of Chapter 3 (Villians)... but, out of all the time traveling w/has occurred in the series.. they just now decide to deal w/ the consequences of time travel? wtf about Hiro going to feudal japan and fuckin up all of that lol
I'm 99% sure that it's not Niki, it's just a new sister that we didn't know. Yes it's lame, but it's what makes the most sense.
i would be surprised if it wasnt Nikki another thing is if she was getting treatments in season 2 how likely is it that she wasn't being trailed by agents eventually we will see how they rescued her maybe mind wiped again and made up a new persona and if this is some super secret organization why couldn't they fake the resume to get her in with the guvna
W/a show such as heroes where they attempt to keep you guessing until the end, there is no way I'm gonna believe they cast Ali Larter as a diff character... They want you to think it's a new character until they go explain it later on..
Spoiler: show
I tottally agree with the above anyone else feel Monday doesn't come soon enough
Awesome so far but so confusing. Need moar episodes.
Finally saw it, and I thought it was abysmal. It has set the tone for the upcoming season, and it's not a positive one. The last two seasons have been invalidated and made pointless. They are shitting plot holes left and right, characters are going against their grain, and I'm tired of worldwide catastrophe + time travel, being the crutch they use.
I'm still laughing at the Greatest American Hero getting killed.
I thought it was really lame and a lot of the characters had almost exactly the same plots that have already been played out 402984302 times. Nikki: omg new personality, hiro: find something and save the world, Peter: be insanely powerful but still get caught up in something retarded and never use any powers, claire's horrible dialogue etc.
predictions:
Nikki: personality and power adapted to save her life, ie she gained ice powers to put out the fire that would have killed her or something like that.
Suresh: after talking about how cool and lucky he was to get powers he learns that his power has a negative aspect. My guess is that his metabolism is insane and he has to eat constantly, notice that part in the scene where Maya learns he has powers where he picks up a milk carton and sees that it's empty then goes to grab another one.
I thought when she said that to Sylar she was using some power, like she put it in his head so he'll do her bidding, could be wrong of course. It was weird the way he reacted. I doubt she is, but Sylar and Peter both have the same ability of taking other peoples powers. Although through different means, pretty much the same thing.
Overall thought they were pretty decent episodes.
Just to clear a few things up, or at least one of them, after looking at the Countdown to Premiere show (I know, who looks at that shit?). I think its safe to assume that Angela Petrelli is not Sylars mother. They showed the full scene on the Pre-show and towards the end of it, Angela brings in another woman and says that she can dive into peoples history and that she was gonna "feed" sylar.
Sorry if that was a spoiler btw, I figured it probably isn't since its already been aired on TV, and people just probably missed it.
Tracey is not Nikki. My guess is Tracey is actually Nikki's twin, Jessica. Who knows how long Linderman was watching their family. I am going to say that Jessica never died, everyone just thought she did, Linderman saved her.
I am not sure why everyone is so quick to give Mama P more powers. I am thinking she is nothing more than a Precog, whose ability only happens while she is asleep.
is it just me or does maya look ALOT better now?
Finally got round to downloading the episodes.
Maya's still as annoying as shit. Mohinder seems to have suddenly become annoying as well. Hiro as ever is fab, and I hope Parkman isn't out of the loop cos I just find him a really likeable character. Claire is grating on me a lot now - it's like she hasn't developed as a character since series one. I don't quite know about speedy woman - she seems a bit too cartoonish compared to the rest of the cast, but I feel the same about most of the newer introductions - Maya and Elle are pretty one-dimensional as well.
I'm quite glad they're giving Ma Petrelli a bit more fleshing out as a character - always wanted there to be more to her than we'd seen before. I did quite like the Sylar-Claire chat scene - it showed a lot more of Sylar's personality.
The escaped villains bit made me wonder if I'd switched over to watching X Men at some point - didn't seem necessary at all, just seemed total filler and that they needed to keep the special effects guys out of mischief for an afternoon or something.
The series could go either way really - will either kick off really well, or suck miserably.
I know the producers/writers have stated that Nikki' is dead, but I'm still in disbelief until they explain what happened! They are really bringing everyone back this season... even Adamon Monroe (Hiro gets him outa the grave next episode to help them find the speedster) and Yaeko (sp) are in this season (Yeako is a big wtf/how moment and I dunno how that's gonna happen, but it's true).
I do have to agree... Peter is awsome.. towards the end of Season 1 I loved all his scene's cause he was just so OP and none could stop him. But now they keep him out of all the action so he is useless. And the director even said that he is gonna be stuck in the other guys body "longer then everyone would like." I want to find out more about Elle, I think she has the potential to be a real good character if they move her away from the sobby little kid syndrome. And I dunno why everyone dislikes Monica so much and calls Claire whiny when Maya is sooooo much worse.
and here is a flashback screenie of Niki after the explosion... so yeah... I think she did "die" so the writers aren't lieing about her death, but pretty sure Linderman brought he back or something along those lines... idk if Tracy is a twin... they wouldn't cast Ali as a new character and then have ppl confront her about being Niki in the series if something wasn't up. I'd be very dissapointed w/the writers if turned out to be that simple
Spoiler: show
I just don't see how Nikki could be Tracey. I mean you don't get a position like Tracey has over night, it takes years of work.
It isn't possible that Linderman could have brought Nikki back though, unless he has some bad ass ghost powers![]()
