My question is what Mrs. Patrelli, haha she is back to Mrs., said to Nathan about giving Peter his power. Unless I misunderstood does this mean Nathan has another ability that he does not even know of?

This makes me wonder even more with old Peter seeing future Nathan. Is it possible since Peter has Sylar's ability he can see even more of peoples potential, ie; Sylar working on Claire's brain, and that Nathan possibly has realized what he can fully do in the future. Or do you think it was just the hunger taking over Peter?

I'm srsly getting tired of some of the plot holes lol.. didnt peter get Sylars power as well as his darkness versions of other powers in the season finale of season 1?
Also, the way Kaito's power is described it would've made more sense for Peter to get that... Sylar's power has hardly been previously made out to be understanding outcomes just understanding how stuff works.
These lvl5 dudes were made out to be the most destructive villains, yet Ted was not locked up and he had the worst ability of anyone introduced thus far, outside of maybe Sylar.
Also, why is Hiro unable to teleport out of lvl2/the lvl5 guys are unable to use their powers in their cells and yet Sylar has managed to kill 2 ppl and get powers in his stints at Primatech Prison?
I also wish they wouldve just had the entire episode in the future; when they did that in season 1 it was the coolest thing ever seeing where everyone ends up, this way just makes me feel like they are still intent to play fast and loose with time travel

    That was definitely the hunger.

When he had future Nathan up against the wall, the way they showed him reading his mind made it seem like he was using Parkman's ability and Sylar's simultaneously, and yeah the hunger then took over when he couldnt figure out how his brain worked clearly enough through telepathy

I don't think Nathan has some other power because I think once the DNA change has occurred one way or the other you cant do anything else. If it were possible to have a natural ability then get something from the injection, I'd assume we'd have seen anybody in the league of evil that showed up at Costa Verde with different powers from the present since all of their abilities are pretty bland/one dimensional

Peter still doesn't know when he does or does not get powers. Sylar just introduced a way of him being able to use it. That is how I understood it.

We still have no clue what any of the elder's powers are besides the one specifically stated.

The level 5 guys were able to use their powers in their cells. My assumption was that the Haitian was standing outside the door with Hiro in it. Which is why he was seen standing in the room right before their attempted escape. Dealing with Sylar, I don't see why they could not turn off or on the rooms, would be silly but that is another explanation of why Sylar could use his abilities.

Also another thought on Mrs. Petrelli talking to Nathan about giving him his power. What if it was a manifestation of Nathan's power to always want more, ie: the hunger. But they gave it to Sylar and not Peter? They have always said Peter was the good one and maybe this what they were hinting at? But since he has that ability now?

He didn't get Sylar's power, just his eaten powers.

Sylar's power is seeing the equation as 1 + 1, seeing that it equals 2 is not a stretch. Once you know how everything works, you know how it WILL work.

These lvl5 dudes were made out to be the most destructive villains, yet Ted was not locked up and he had the worst ability of anyone introduced thus far, outside of maybe Sylar.
Intent makes a power dangerous. Sylar wouldn't be dangerous with the (ominous music) HUNGER.

Also, why is Hiro unable to teleport out of lvl2/the lvl5 guys are unable to use their powers in their cells and yet Sylar has managed to kill 2 ppl and get powers in his stints at Primatech Prison?
Because it can be turned off and the leader of The Company wanted Sylar to get them powers.

Angela Petrelli (Precog Dreams), Linderman (Being awesome, healing others), Kaito Nakamura (Being gay, seeing variables and predicting outcomes), Bob Bishop (Midas touch), and Maury Parkman (Looking like a vegetable while fucking with people's heads) are all known, Harry Fletcher and Paula Gramble are known to have had some sort of powers.

Oooo, Angela's husband is back next week or so it seems.
And lol the end with Adam.

And Sylar doesn't eat brains, it was established pretty clearly in the premiere.

Great episode, I'm in love with this season more and more. I am finding the Ali Larter arc very interesting. Awesome how Dr Zimmerman and "The German" are both a part of the experiment they played on Nikki/Barbara/Tracey.

And omgoggles, Peter now has the hunger!

I loved Season 1 and 2, I think just the uniqueness of the concept kept me drawn in, I don't remember too many rampant sort of head scratching moments about the plot. But its looking like the writers didn't learn the problems of season2 cause its still taken 4 episodes and we still dont really know much of anything regarding wuts going on

He didn't get Sylar's power, just his eaten powers.
But I mean, I don't see the point of why he got sent on such an epic quest when hes met Sylar before and gotten his powers, wasn't that part of the whole point of his apprenticeship with the invisible man? He learned how to recall powers without the person being there and how to control unstable ones.

He recalls powers by thinking of the person who he got the powers from. Sylar has many many powers and Peter doesn't even know what Sylar's original power is, aside from Sylar being able to use powers after killing someone with them. For the most part Peter has only learned to use powers he has seen used before or they randomly happen to him and he (sometimes) manages to control it. He has seen Sylar use powers...and Peter has used powers Sylar has had, but when the person he is thinking of has multiple powers how do you think he's going to recall a power he's never seen used before?

This is very different from season 2. Season 2 had Hiro in feudal Japan doing balls for most of the season and he got a LOT of screen time doing it. The concept is interesting, but it completely ruined the feel of the season. Season 1 was rushing around from person to person figuring out powers and where they go and how they all come together. Season 3 is a lot more like season 1 than 2, rushing from person to person, new revelation after another, just this time they have to advance a plotline instead of expand on characters since the characters are already there, so I guess it gets a little more confusing for the slower folk.

And I don't know about you, but I'd rather only know "the world is going to end" as the major end to the season, if I can see how things are going to happen before it happens the story fails. Heroes doesn't have the enjoyable characters to fall back on a lame story so they need something complex.

I know it's nitpicking, but it has been driving me nuts for week that people keep calling them "Triplets" when we know there is at LEAST 4 of them. Just drives me nuts when they use the wrong term.

And since people tend to dispute that because they overlook all the small things.

There is Niki, Jessica, Tracey, and Barbara.

Do we know Jessica was an actual twin? Or did they just use Ali Larter to portray her sister? Is it possible it was psychological damage coming from being created as a triplet, having a power and being raised by a drunk? They always did portray Niki as a fucked up person...

The doctor himself stated today that there were four, he had named off all of them four of them at least. Then said they were separated at birth. But we knew long before (about Jessica at least) because their father was in season 1 and talked about Jessica's death.

No shit that really is him? I thought about it for a second but he looks different when he's not playing a gangbanger. I've been watching Fringe as well.

I liked how Gabriel had HRG on, and the kids name was Noah.

The scene where Sylar goes nuts on Knox reminds me of when Peter went nuts on Sylar in season 1's finale... except Sylar blowing up was awesome.

    What happened to Sylar though?

Most of his actions in the first two seasons are explained by his hunger for more powers and such that they covered in the episode last night. He essentially got therapy and learned how to deal with the hunger and overcome it, so he went back to being the little clockfixer boy he was in s1e1 just with a kid.

Good question. If Peter lived from explosion, why wouldnt Sylar?
