I did not say he could not. It is a relatively simple matter to determine who is related. However you have to remember that where ever Chandra got his DNA samples, there was apparently a large number of them. He was concerned with finding the mutation or whatever they say is responsible. He was not cross-checking to find relatives. It's a show.

Getting back to the show, I found the preview slightly disturbing. They have already said their powers are genetic. And there have been people having powers for quite a while apparently (hi2u Adam Monroe). So how are they going to say that an eclipse caused their powers. :s

The eclipse seemed to accelerate growth and emergence of powers. A lot of powers didn't show up until the eclipse.

It's always been significant, but the nature of the significance of the eclipse is hard to tell.

Regardless, I hope that this season really ties up the old stuff. The show has a chance, but this needs to be cleaned up. A lot of stuff that happened makes no fucking sense so far, I just hope it works out in the end.

The writing is terrible at times (cue Doofus: THE WRITERS ARE GENIUSES OMGGG) but of course they made shit up. At the same time though, as painful as a lot of this is, I see that it could quite possibly tie up all the shit that keeps hanging them up. They need to get rid of the old generation and find a better way to keep people in check. I feel like they're setting us up for something awesome, but it keeps feeling like set up. That is the big problem with the show, of course. It's always about what's next, not what's now. I feel like the pieces will fit together nicely...but that's not where we are now. And that makes the now frustrating as hell.

That being said, this episode was a disappointment on the HOLY SHIT FUCKING RETARDED LOL front. I wanted some lol, and they just gave me some plot connections.

The Arthur/Angela/Linderturtle plot was good. I don't really care about Meredith and flint. Sylar and Elle was kinda off, particularly because I have no idea wtf is up with the magic missles.

I thought tonights episode was awesome. All of it seemed to fit to me and most of the heroes population. Gotta remember not everyone analyzes the show like we do here on BG. We have a skewed opinion on the show.

With the DNA strand thing, why would he care about peter patrelli. Even if he did see they were brothers, why would he assume it of importance. If I found out two random people were brothers, i'd assume they already knew :<

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. Also, in the little flashback with Sylar and Suresh when he first shows his telekinesis powers; I SWEAR he was wearing glasses in that part in Season 1; I need to rewatch now.

I'm a bit confused by the spirit walk thing for Hiro. They said he was going back so he could find a fork in the road where someone turned to evil. Question; where the fuck did that happen? It just seemed like they used Hiro having the vision as a shitty excuse to tie up some loose ends(poorly) and recycle content for a filler episode. I'm really trying to love the show and it's always been entertaining but why isn't it as awesome as season one?

To answer some questions:

Hiro travelled through to find the fork in the road that turned people into what they are today. By doing this, he was able to discover what drove Angela and Arthur against each other... what drove Meredith and Flint separate directions, and what drove Sylar to commit the crimes he committed.

He was able to better understand what the villains had done to get where they were and as such is able to know how best to exploit those weaknesses.

Man fuck you guys for picking apart the show to the nitty-gritty lol. I thought it was a good episode... loved the tie-ins to season 1 (the train fire, Mohinder/HRG taxi ride, etc).

Such a horrible episode, I'd consider it the worst this season so far. They explained useless back-story aside the Angela/Arthur stuff, but even that was pretty predictable. HRG was a total bitch... Oh like we are supposed to care about Elle putting on show for Sylar, in order to get him to trust her, so that the company can watch a ruthless killer & learn how he mimc's powers. And did anybody care about the Meredith/ Flint back story, they could have at least shown why Meredith abandoned Claire?

They killed African Isaac and now Hiro loses his power, but in order to make him forget everything he just learned Arthur turns Hiro mental back to when he was 10 years old. gggaaaaayyyyyyyy

The tie-in's to Season 1 were cool and I liked how they did it, but most of that episode I'd consider a filler.

And they already explained numerous times that all these ppl where born w/ powers and not given powers via the eclipse they showed on the first episode of season 1. So why is this second eclipse next episode supposed to be such a big deal? Lets see how rushed everything becomes as they have 6 episodes left to have it all make sense lol

this show feels like an episode of the simpsons where sideshow bob perfectly executes a plan to frame bart for murder. then manipulates him into a situation where bart is seconds away from death and sideshow bob goes in for the kill ... only to be thwarted by stepping on a rake, then going around it and stepping on another rake. thats what this show feels like.

Sylar. He was walking the line between good and bad and the the company via Elle worked to turn him over to the bad side.

Remember in season 1 when Isaac wanted to lay off the drugs for Simone, then the company via Eden gave him a gigantic stash of drugs so he could paint. Same thing here.

Speaking of Eden, I was PRAYING that she would show up, evening if only in a passing glimpse. She was/is my favorite female character from this show.

Yeah I was really hoping , but not expecting anything since everyone's forgotten about Eden which is really retarded Biggest wasted potential this show's had, and despite my being a big fan of Elle, I think Edenwas their best female character in the series yet.
