Gabriel is much much much more powerful than Peter. Or--was. As soon as he came to his senses and starts taking emotion into play he became weak. He just let Peter destroy him when Peter was heading off to Primatech for the first time. Gabriel is easily the most powerful character in the series besides Arthur of course. I can't predict what kind of plan Arthur has for Nathan or Gabriel. I really want to know how this will play out.

What made Gabriel more powerful?

Previously, Gabriel had to hunt down and lobotomize his target to take their power, whereas Peter automatically copied the powers of anyone he came in contact with, whether he knew it or not. With the exception of the odd ability (cryokinesis, super hearing, metal liquification), Peter could do everything Gabriel could do, and more (recall Peter could manipulate space-time, Gabriel would have had to lobotomize Hiro to do that).

I'll agree Gabriel was more ruthless and cunning with his abilities, Peter was more naive. But in the end, until his loss, Peter was technically more powerful.

Now, it seems Gabriel absorbs abilities in the same manner as Peter, and also has taken on his trademark empathy. This newfound regard for human life will make him a bit vulnerable, but I think he's still as cunning as ever.

* Chest hair issue : For some reason, characters in this show aren't allowed to have chest hair. They've never done a shirtless Sylar, and I guess when Elle electrocuted him she gave him an IPL Laser therapy treatment too and got rid of the majority of it, so we don't have to look at "icky" hairs. I think it's funny.

In my opinion, Gabriel was more powerful because he had the brain that allowed him to use his power in a better way. Peter was always too stupid and emotional. I don't care how powerful you are, if you're way too stupid to use your power at a fraction of it's potential, others can easily over power you.

Heck, I could probably over power a real life Peter.

The only thing that disappointed me about this episode was that there was no explanation about how the African was killed (or how he didn't escape from it, "probably" knowing this was coming...)

The thing is, the future that is going on is not the future that was supposed to come to be when Issac was drawing. For example, it would be fucked up if in one of his comics he drew New York blowing up and two issues later it showed Hiro and Ando walking down the streets of New York.

How the hell did he draw and tie in multiple futures into the same comic? By the logic of when he was alive the only future he could've drawn was the future that was stopped.

I don't recall a 9th Wonders where he drew New York blowing up. He painted it, but 9th Wonders showed Hiro stopping the explosion from happening by stabbing Sylar. I think they've mentioned before that he had a few unpublished issues lying around but it's not a trick they can keep going to the well on.

He hasn't really said anything concrete on camera about it. From what he has said, it seems like he thinks humans as a whole are trashing the world and are becoming too corrupt etc. It seems he's trying to take the Magneto route and save the world by eradicating or controlling the lesser species.

My quick educated guess is he doesn't want to save the world at all, he wants to give as many people powers as possible so he can take them all. "I'm the most special." Etc.

Not sure if any of you guys read Behind the Eclipse, but thy were asked a lot of questions last week about the Haitian, and all signs pointed to Nathan going to fly to Haiti and pick him up (I'm sure it didn't take the Heroes long to realize they kind of need him to take down Arthur/Sylar).

My guess is the Eclipse itself isn't going to sap their powers, but something related to the Haitian will. We only have a few episodes left in Villains, so hopefully were quickly approaching a badass conclusion.

I loved last nights episode, more like this one and this show will be back on top.

According to Kristin at E!, another Petrelli brother will lose their powers due to something totally unrelated to the eclipse.

Where was this mentioned? I was anticipating him getting his powers back from the Eclipse. but here is an a good, albit whinny, interview w/Kring. If Fugitives goes in the direction he was hinting then I just might stop watching the show though... sounds super shitty if everyone loses their powers and has to go back to being normal. Trying to redesign the show so much is gonna be it's downfall
