Harry Potter also only really did it once. It's usually easy enough to pull off a quick trip like that. Heroes goes all over the place though.

I always wondered why future Peter had a scar. The more important question is why didn't he have his healing ability anymore?

When you die with the Hatian there, you die forever?

More likely just a huge ass plothole.

No, I really don't think so. You'd come back just as soon as he walks away.

This is what I think. After the first season incident where Claire got off the autopsy table, I'm not sure there's any way to kill her(or Sylar by extension) besides taking the head or something really extreme like vaporization.

If it's anything similar to Marvel, Claire or anyone with regenerative abilities, similar to Wolverine, wouldn't even die to vaporization. In any case, Peter did return and heal after exploding above Kirby Plaza, but the extent of his physical damage isn't shown, unless it is in the comics? I'm curious to know whether or not the induced radioactivity ability is like Nitro's power, where they turn gaseous and explode or what

I didn't read Harry Potter but:

#1 Why can't they reuse it to stop w/e problems they had after?
#2 What happened to the trashed future? Sure, the present was saved/changed, but there is billion of people who get "deleted" when the future is changed, or everyone suddently remain conscious of the change.

Time travel works when they force a "no paradox" rules in their universe, but there isnt hundred of way to make this happen.

I think Claire's regeneration is akin to Cell from DBZ's.

Anyway, at this point I think the only reason future Peter had a scar was to differentiate between him and present Peter.

Claire and Adam's regeneration works outside of the body's biological clock. All it does is replenish cells at a rapid rate. They still age, mature, and grow; but the timer is always ticking. Think of it as if once they die their body starts to decompose and die but because their cells are being replaced their body can still function and provide oxygen to the brain, thus keeping them indefinitely alive.

Lastly, Harry Potter did it right for a few reasons:

    1) It was an infinite loop - everything that happened in the movie/book happened as a result of them traveling through time to cause it to happen. Then, at the end, it's revealed that they traveled through time to save lives in the first place. It was them traveling through time before that allowed them to travel through time in the future, so it was a closed loop. No paradoxes.

    2) They didn't use time travel as an excuse for everything. Up until the end they didn't even realize that was what was causing all of the events to unfold.

    3) They didn't have time travel present and then not properly use it - in other words, they knew they had to go back in time and it never happened out of sequence. The future never really changed because the future that happened was always supposed to happen.

That's how Heroes' time travel should have been, but they've screwed it all up.

Adam lived for like 500 years though... Once his power manifested he stopped aging.

Closed loop works...as long the character don't interact with their own selves (in a conscious way).

It's true you can create a story that doesn't have paradox, where the character had no choice but to do it "this way", but the time travel itself is not paradox free in this context. Nothing would prevent a mage from going back to the past and stop himself. That kind of situation are never adressed. The author need to add another layer that prevent any kind of paradox from happening, and only complete loop can be accomplished

If the thought of creating paradox doesn't go through the mind of the characters who is about to time travel, there is a good chance this character suck.

In response to the question of why they didn't use it again to fix other problems they had in the future, they unfortunately knocked over the shelf containing all the world's supply of time-manipulating hourglasses during their little scuffle towards the end.

He didn't stop aging. His body was at the point where the rate that his cells were dying was equal to the rate that his cells were regenerating. Physically he wasn't aging (appearance-wise) but Physiologically his cells died naturally hundreds of years ago.

Exactly, it even showed that much this season when Sylar went nuclear in the future episode, both Claire and Peter were standing right next to him when the city went boom. But they both survived. They had to have been turned to dust but they still survived.

Anyway, I am sure that if Clair dies right now with the eclipse she would come back when her powers manifest after the eclipse passes.

Lot people talking about why X didnt happen during all the eclipses over the past 500years. None of you considering the possibility that this stuff doesnt happen during every elipse? Yes I know that is very convenient for the show's plot, but why immediately call inconsistancy/plothole?

Adam could also have easily avoided eclipses without even trying since for any given portion of the planet, it only happens once every few hundred years (for a total eclipse). Though somehow, in this universe, a total eclipse can be spotted across the entire planet apparently, so maybe that wouldn't work after all.

You said he kept aging and maturing, which he did not. (yes, obviously he was like 500 years old... but his appearance remained the same for centuries..)

Can we agree that makes no fucking sense in real world science?

Either way, doesn't really explain why people reliant on their power don't drop dead during an eclipse.
