Haitian should've been a villain, give him something like martial arts skills or something and he'd be a badass nemesis

That was my issue...I kept thinking about how Adam survived 400 years through eclipses. Surely his body would have realized it should be dead and just died as soon as the power was gone.

Parkman should just die, in every future he's a bad guy. Suresh is always a bad guy. Nathan is always a bad guy.

Season 4, Peter realizes this and kills them all while suffering from the anguish of killing friends.

Season 5, Peter becomes the bad guy and Sylar stops him and they realize their errors and the world is saved because super people are saving them; Peter becomes Clark Kent.

I have a feeling it goes a little deeper than loss of abilities = loss of life. I'm not sure where the writers are taking this, or how they'll explain it, but I'll bet they copied a little from here and there since a lot of influence seems to be from Marvel, at least imo.

If anyone here's read Civil War and followed Wolverine's arc, he battles Nitro and gets completely blown away by him like Peter and Claire do when Gabriel self-destructs in reaction to his son's death. What keeps Logan coming back is his soul's attachment and how he battles to survive after every near-death experience. In the end, he regenerates cell by cell, part by part, as Nitro regenerates from a gaseous state.

I'm willing to bet it's something similar, unless they go into something bogus. Just a thought~

Which brings up another issue that I have with the show. They talk about God way too much.

Echoing what other people have said, heroes episode style has moved away from a 25 episode TV series, into a (sped up) daytime soap. Themes don't last very long, characters being killed off and revived as if it were nothing (and when you kill people so frequently, people stop caring, and you can no longer use it as an emotional ploy), characters coming and going, it's just a big mess.

Ok we understand, it's entertainment, but not everyone watches the same show thinking the same thing.

Heroes needs to go back to season1, keep a main theme happening so people can be worked to a build up.

So far we've seen a whole jumble of stories that unlike other shows, do not make sense and are not even connected, it's like watching nothing but filler episodes constantly. To prove my point, if we removed level5 entirely, would the show be affected at all? Barely.

If I were to be the season's director, what I'd do:
    - Keep Primatech being very hinted at but still in secrecy.
    - Keep maury toying with their heads, making the heroes fight each other instead of being killed off so damn soon. Make him look like the bad guy behind everything untill the end of the season where Arthur is lurking as the cliff hanger for next season.
    - Use level 5 as connecting filler, where they have character centric episodes about the people on lvl5, what they're doing, and leading into the main story. Have different people side with different level 5'ers, and don't kill them off. Keep them to keep the heroes separated, kind of like how people would side with/against adam.
    - Use the eclipse as a dramatic event IN the season finale, at a moment in crisis, leave the eclipse removing powers but leave that for the finale episode/cliff hanger.

etc. There's so many things they could do to fix the script, but it's painfully hilarious to watch, and I'll keep watching my favourite retarded drama each week.

A really good show would've had Hiro/Claire in a split second shot of the rooftop scene two years in advance without any explanation to the actors/fans.

A really, really good show would have not caved into the studios insistence that they keep the heroes from the first season and restarted each season.

Was that the original plan for the series? That sounds really good.

Yeah. That's why the first season's plot was so tight and the characters in it made sense. That's why characters like Peter, Sylar, and Hiro existed.

But nope, it was such a big hit that NBC wanted to make them stars.

Yeah, Kring was recently discussing that in the IGN interview. He backed himself into a corner because he wanted to please the audience and kept the people that he didn't want to keep.

He was REALLY hyped about Origins... makes me really wish we could be told what he had planned for that cause it sounded great.

The more and more I think about Season 3 in general, the more I am coming to the conclusion that the entire season (and not just the eclipse) is one gigantic reset switch for the series. We've had no many different themes/arcs/plot holes/covering of plot holes because, IMO, it seems the writers are trying to find the right way to get back to square one and it doesn't matter how much sense things don't make. And in these last couple of episodes, we are finally seeing things revert back to the original story line.

    We've had the following:

    • The season is like Bleach in the fact that no one of importance dies. This means that the major players will all be in place for a new arc.
      Spoiler: show
I don't consider Papa P much more than a filler villian, he is more than expendable
    • We are seeing 9th Wonders being a prominent part in the storyline again. This is a lead back to the way things were in Season 1.
    • All characters are being reset back to their former personalities thanks to the eclipse or other events. Claire becomes the timid teenager again and not this crazy wannabe badass, HRG is back to being the company man, Hiro is getting completely reset (relearning everything as a 10 year old), Sylar is back to evil again (and the stupid 3rd son of Mama/Papa P arc is out), Nathan is back to being easily manipulated so other's can abuse his political power, and even Peter seems to be getting slightly less retarded since his powers are gone.
    • There has been no big conflict this season at all to the levels of previous seasons. The virus from Season 2 has not been mentioned and that arc seemingly scrapped. Even the secret formula to give people powers doesn't really seem to be more than a way to get Peter's powers back IMO because I can't see the thing becoming widespread at this point. The Pinehurst v Primatech thing also doesn't really seem to be getting any legs of something more than a quick fight at best.

So yeah, I'm pretty resigned to just hoping for brief moments of a good scene here and there. Right now I'm hoping that they can wrap up the season in a position to be able to get back to basics because the series needs it badly.

Does Primatech even have anyone left? They've been all but nonexistant, lately. In fact, only people I've ever seen that work there this season that wasn't in a flashback was the Hatian, HRG and Angela. Or Elle, as a former company girl.

Primatech seems to have a never ending supply of like red shirts, cause I remember when the lvl5 villains were being chased they killed some agents before sylar/hrg busted their asses

When they decided to keep the characters, Peter/Sylar/Hiro became OP the writers had to find a way to keep these characters in situations where they cant use their powers to their full extent. Even last weeks episode showed how OP Hiro could be if he wanted to. Time travel, teleporting ppl around the place before they even know what hit em? It's just pure awsome, yet they have to limit Hiro now

And the time's in Season 1 when Peter went into Isaac's Loft and they went at it (right before Isaac shot his gf), or when Peter was w/ the invisibility guy and HRG/the Hiatan ambushed them... Those were some of the best moments in the show (for me) cause it showed how awsome Peter was (and he could be that way since he was only supposed to be a single seasons character).

Yeah exactly. They were attempting to have the faceoff with Primatech's "force" being Nathan, Peter, Angela, Clare, Matt, Daphne, and I guess by extension HRG vs Papa P and the villains...but yeah that got shot in the foot rather quickly.

I'm curious if they are ever going to go back to that Irish girlfriend of Peters when he lost his memory, the one who was stuck in the future with the disease and stuff.

Doubt it. It would be a huge plot hole if they did. Peter and her went to a future in which a virus completely wrecked the population. They stopped that virus in Season 2, so that time line shouldn't exist.

In order to "save" her, it would be so convoluted. Someone would have to stop Peter and her from ever teleporting to the future in the first place, and then if they did that, shouldn't it follow that they don't learn about the virus and that they need to stop it? Plus the writers would have to come up with some (likely retarded) reason to go and save her in the first place.

Better to leave her completely IMO.

They never will, writers even said her character was a victim of the writers strike... making me assume if Season 2 ran its full [intended] length she woulda be brought back. But we all know how much the writers cave into what the fans want, and a lot of ppl are still pissed she got cut... so who knows?

Well, the cheapest and easiest way to get her character (or at least the actress) back into the show is to bring her from the past before she got stuck in the future. Or play the twin sister card like they did with Ali Larter.

But I'm guessing it wouldn't be too hard to just take a quick jaunt back in time and grab her. They can subsequently ignore the implications of removing her from the timeline before she did everything she was supposed to because, well, she didn't really do anything.
