I have always assumed that Haitian's power was he can suppress individuals powers by his own choice.

That being said, he was suppressing the greater evil in Arthur instead of Sylar. Either way he was fucked if Sylar turned on them, so might as well suppress the greater evil while he can.

Afaik the Haitian has to specifically choose to disable a person's powers. Sylar popping out of nowhere means the Haitian didn't disable him and by the time Sylar gained control of the situation, if the Haitian disabled his powers Arthur could have gotten away. He wanted Arthur dead.

The entire catalyst stuff was terrible though and made no sense. I still don't know wtf it really is and it's gone forever (unless they steal it from Hiro's mom further in the past somehow.)

I can't enjoy it cause they have no fucking respect for their own shit they make up. I can't help but think of this stuff as I'm watching and thats without getting into the pime taradox shit of arthur going back into the past after Hiro has changed the future.. This episode was better than most this season, and Sylar's shit cracked me up as did Hiro's stuff.

What was wrong with Hiro's mom specifically? Couldn't Lindermann heal her or they could've jacked some of Adam's blood?

Definitely not true. The Hatian just being in the theatre disabled Daphne and Hiro's powers in the episode where they stole the formula and he didn't even know they were there.

As far as Arthur, he was able to time travel because Peter could. He took Hiro's power not to gain it for himself, but just so Hiro wouldn't have it and be able to save himself.

I think the catalyst is going to end up having a negative effect on whoever is the holder of it, which is why Kaito stated that Claire was the "perfect host", and would also explain why Hiro's mother died at such a young age despite having the ability to heal/others around her having healing abilities.

I must say, they did a decent job making the Bennets look 16 years younger. Noah and Claires mom truly looked younger. They even did a decent job at making Claire look younger. >.>

Sorely disappointed with Hiro losing his powers. I can see this episode as a way to prevent Peter from getting Time Travel for a long while; but now they have to explain how Hiro will get his powers back...if at all?

I thought the Hiro scene with his mom was one of the best scenes of this series. I loved it. This episode was great for 45 minutes and terrible in the last 15.

About the rest of the episode, there were some awesome moments, wtf moments, and terribad moments. Seems about normal for a typical Heroes episode.

Yeah, I also thought the scene between Hiro and his mom was one of the best scenes in Heroes. Note to Hayden and Jack Coleman, that's how you do a real child/parent scene.

I don't get what the writers are attempting to do. Story is all over the place. Powers change from episode to episode.

It's about damn time Arthur took a bullet to his face, but he already transferred the catalyst over to the rest of the drug... So people are still going to get powers unless they destroy that thing.

I really hope they end next week's episode well.

Sylar being evil was great, he really stole thAt episode and had the best scene's past elle's death. The scene w/ hiro and his mom was also great, but how the fuck does him getting the catalyst make him a hero? He lost it 10 fuckin seconds later.

I knew hiro was gonna lose his powers... He was super OP last episode, so they nerfed him, lame as all can be. And I'd assume Arthur's death gave everyone (least in the present) their powers back... Why else did he glow all funky style once killed, and they avoided showing it this episode since it was the last scene w/ peter in it.

Overall this episode proves how garbage the show has become... Could they really think of nothing else but to give everyone powers and make a super-hero/evil syndicate? I'll still watch it though cause I like a few characters even if the writers are attrocious

So, why didn't Arthur just take the catalyst directly from Hiro's mom instead of waiting until he had it? He reminded me of an SNES rpg villain. You know, you beat boss and are about to collect crystal-macguffin #x and as you walk up to it, the bad guy grabs it, laughs and teleports away.
