Good episode, what was with the ops guy that sylar was questioning though? He looked so pissed lol

Where is Peter's scar? Didn't Arthur slice him up in the last season?
My only hope is that all of the "new" heroes they showed briefly on the plane (like the ethnic chick) don't all conveniently die in the crash, leaving only the established characters on the island.
I also hope that they bring back a few of the characters they just let die. I really liked the muscle mimicry cousin of Micah, and I liked Micah too. It would be interesting to see how they would handle this situation as kids with abilities.
Maybe I missed it, but the trained guard kicked his ass before he touched Tracy. Peter knock out the guard... the guard got up and started to kick Peter's ass w/got him tossed into Tracy.. Peter then mimic's Tracy's powers (not knowing what it was) and ended up freezing the side of the plane as he attempted to get up from the beating. Acquiring Mohinder's strength doesnt = u knowing how to fight, just means you punch/kick very hard & can break things. Out of all 3 seasons I can only recall less than 5 moments where Peter used his powers to his full extent and was super awesome (aka Sylar style).
It's just not how the character is, and it makes him come across as more de-powered. They had to change his powers into a touch-mimcry or him getting captured and being in the plane would of made him crazy OP. And looking at the preview of next episode, it shows Peter w/o a scratch on him as the other Heroes (aside Tracy) have slight bruises
I like what they did with Peter's power.
Good episode overall, I'm far more excited for next week though.![]()
He also doesn't have a scar. doesn't really prove anything other then an oversight on the writers/directors part. Also HRG was left without bruises as well and he has zero powers.
And go look at the episode again. He was kicking everyone ass until he went and started freeing the other heroes and the guard surprised him from the back and he inadvertently absorbed Nikki v2 powers.
and to those suggesting that peter has his fathers power how would you explain the fact that Suresh was bounded with those arm shackles that takes super human strength to get out and within a matter of seconds hes out free helping peter?
Pointless going back and fourth, guess gonna have to wait until next week to see cause none know either way 100% yet.. well unless ur one of the writers or been on the set...
but just as you said, he was kicking ass until knocked out from behind w/caused him to get Tracy's powers and freeze the plane. Peter never knew how to fight so i don't see how him getting his ass kicked means he doesnt have super strength
my bad what I meant by that was the shackles takes super strength to break free from.
Yeah it's really hard to try and rationalize bad writing. Just gonna have to see it through the next episodes.
Suresh has the super strength but was groggy for a min. Peter didn't feel like waiting for him so he mimicked his strength to bust out, Suresh followed suit when he snapped out of it.
I didn't get a good look at the map, was the plane over Africa or something? I wasn't even sure if they made it past the end of Long Island.
I think they are in a woody area still in the US. I don't think they were in the plane long before Claire made her appearance in the cabin.
I loved when Claire went to tell the pilot to put the plane down and HRG turned around.
When Ando tracked Hiro, it showed them in Northern Africa didn't it?
...because after all what this show needs is even more underdeveloped characters splitting up screen time.
Last night's episode was better than anything last fall but then again that's like high jumping over a pole a foot off the ground... it's not saying much. I'm getting tired of the 'I do the wrong things for the right reasons' shit from Noah and Nathan. You'd think Noah at least would develop past that at some point in 3 years.
How the hell did no one notice Claire running to the plane or that the car had stopped?
The Sylar 'takedown' scene was badass at least.
It looked like the trees on the edge of the savannah through night vision.
