What Should I Do?

Okay so, I'm quitting the game in about a month for college, and I don't know what to do during that time. Info on my character: 75 RDM, 65 RNG, others jobs sub 40: Rank 10 Bastok, RoZ/CoP/ToAU completed, up-to-date on WotG. No end game shells, and not much endgame RDM gear. I was originally going to hit 75 on RNG before I quit, but I decided I didn't want to hit 75 just as I was quitting and not be able to do anything with it, so I sold all my RNG stuff and now I have a good 3mil gil. I realize this request is vague and strange, but what do you think I should do?

Not with my major: I'm going to a conservatory to major in musical theatre, which means classes nonstop from early AM to mid PM, then rehearsals and performances and other stuff, but I digress. The point is, I'm sure it's best for me to quit.

Also to Freijah, no rl in-game friend, but I intended on giving my gil away when I quit.

Or, possibley even more thoughtful, buy presents. If I was the recepient of someone off-loading when they quit, I wouldn't care if it was gil or items, the gesture is still very nice, and personally I think it's a great feeling to give presents, virtual or no. Any non-RARE/EX item on my RDM that is expensive was probably given to me my a best in-game friend. We're not in contact anymore but I would still never sell the stuff, even to fund other things. And besides what would I be without Snow/Enfeeb Torque/P.Rope/etc.

Don't delete your account, best off the deactivate it.. You may want to return to the game some day. FFXI while sometimes annoying is a decent stress reliever. As for your gil, it's fine to give it away, just keep maybe 500-600k at least on your char. So if for some chance you do choose to return, you don't have to start again from nothing. Seen a lot of people give EVERYTHING away, then come back a few months later and regret not keeping at least something to restart with.

Just shut down the account since so many people give all their gil away then conditions change 1 year from when they quit and then they come back.
