Just tested it, yup you take fall damage

but if you did it on someone before you hit the ground.. you won't take fall damage

Finally got a beta key today. But when I go to upgrade my account it keeps saying invalid login..logged into game and changed my password just fine..did they send me a defunct beta key or something? :/

In the beta test you’ll get an opportunity to test the first zones of the new Northrend continent, and the new levels above 70. We look forward to your feedback on the overall experience, including quests, monsters, zones, aesthetics, and more. We would also appreciate reports on any bugs you may encounter. These can be logged using the /bug command explained below.

Getting started:

In order to participate in the beta test, you must upgrade an existing retail account that has been upgraded with The Burning Crusade®, allowing you to connect to the Wrath of the Lich King™ test realms. The World of Warcraft®: The Burning Crusade® game client that you use must be patched up to version 2.4.2 or later in order to install the beta test client.

Go to http://beta.worldofwarcraft.com and follow the detailed, step-by-step instructions to begin playing the Wrath of the Lich King beta.

Please be prepared to enter the current retail World of Warcraft account name and password you use, and the appropriate beta code listed below to authenticate your eligibility to connect to the Wrath of the Lich King test realms. To participate in the beta tests, you must have a valid retail World of Warcraft account active and in good standing as of August 25, 2008.

Below is a beta code that will allow you to upgrade a World of Warcraft account to be eligible for the Wrath of the Lich King beta test. Each beta code can be used only once to upgrade an active retail World of Warcraft account.

Yeah, it's from them and everything, gives me the official links etc. I sent them an e-mail to their billing support cause they said to do if there were issues upgrading near the bottom of the e-mail, so hopefully they can figure out whats wrong :/
Edit: Was also thinking that maybe because I almost immediately tried to create the account it hadn't registered that I was sent a key yet or something, I dunno. But it's still not working almost 2 hours after I got it so I dunno.

We are bringing the Beta realms down starting at 2:45 PM PDT to perform maintenance and to apply a patch. We anticipate a downtime of approximately 6 hours.

Oh god I hope they fix DK damage... seeing damage lower then the tooltips depressing (especially for something that ignores armor!)

ive had the beta client isntalled for a while + the first few updates, so hopefully it wont be too much more.

Improved Spell Reflection: Reduces the chance you'll be hit by spells by 4%, reduces the cooldown of your Spell Reflection ability by 5 sec and when the ability is used it will reflect the first spell cast against the 4 closest party members.

Niiice. With that and the new glyph Spell Reflection's cooldown will be 3 seconds. And reflecting counterspells, locks, and CCs cast on your healer is so nice. Prot PvP is going to be so fun

Ha, they moved Sheath of Light to Tier 9 in the ret tree.

I knew that ability wasn't going to stick around for Holy specced pallys and never specced into, looks like I was right.

I really don't understand making Blessing of Kings effectively a 5 point talent now, and the Prot tree is sooooooooo bloated now.

Same reason they made Relentless Strikes a 5 point talent, they want 'mandatory' talents to cost more points. I don't agree with it either but hey it's their game.

It's tier 1 now, a lot of paladins get no usefulness out of the other 10 talent points they had to spend in prot just to get kings. 5 pts vs 11 points for an essentially required raid buff.

Wouldnt mind them tinkering around with rogue. While i'm a rogue, even I have to admit, seeing majority of the classes get 2-4 shotted instead of stun lock is kinda ridiculous.
