It's tier 1 now, a lot of paladins get no usefulness out of the other 10 talent points they had to spend in prot just to get kings. 5 pts vs 11 points for an essentially required raid buff.

Yeah but it royally messes things up for Prot Paladins, the tree is a giant bloated blob now.

Either way, alot of Holy paladins will still be speccing 18 points into Prot for the Imp. Devo aura (I'm kind of inclined to go 51/13/7 for the new Benediction and Imp. Blessing of Might).

Also looking at it I still wouldn't spec into it for Ret, 5/5/61 looks pretty hot

But tier 3/4 of the ret tree give you +8% spell crit...

Honestly after making one of each build I don't really see anyone getting a full BoK for "max" use, you pretty much have to sacrifice for the raid to get it. That said, it's similar to holy priests atm that go for Divine Spirit I suppose.

And I <3 the prot changes. Not everything is perfect (redoubt should be lower, I kinda have to put 3 points into BoK to keep going up...or 3 into reckoning which is pretty useless when using SoV) but I can now get everything I want AND go into other trees for what I need as well. Without having a shitty benediction, it's nice now. So if I were to be more into 5-mans/outgeared content I could pickup benediction and it'd save a lot.

And benediction looks amazing for holy paladin mana efficiency. Holy Light crits (which you can get...+19% crit for in talents?) will be instant and then another 10% less mana to use.

I can't wait for 3.0. But I do need to find a place to play now, since I am done with my current guild and me and a couple friends (holy priest and 1337 deeps warlock) have nowhere to go. Being on the 216th/226th realm guild progression-wise (with half the guilds below us at least having a guild in SWP when we don't) is pretty shitty.

How does this screw up the prot tree at all. If anything the Prot tree is actually a little sparse.

EDIT: Ok just got done going over the Prot tree fully. Yeah trimmed it down perfectly. It's was a bloated mess before, but is now slim with pretty much every talent past tier 5 giving you great returns. In fact I think they could probably add a few flavor talents in there if they so choose.

Have you guys heard about the new types of gear they're adding? Bind to Account:


Account Wide - Level scaled items
A new type of items has been added to the game.

* These items are Bind To Account items, you can transfer them between characters !
* These items scale with level, a level 1 character can perfectly use it and stats will scale accordingly !
* In the current beta build, you can buy them with tokens from raid dungeons
* They are not unique.

So for example,

I think this is AWESOME. I mean, so many times you level an alt and have shitty gear on it until the 40+ range, whereas now you won't exactly have to twink it out for it to still be decent if you get your hands on some of this stuff. Plus, the level 80 stuff looks good, and worth having. I wonder if this stuff will be really rare, or what though.

Enchanted tuxedo gear + MC Spell damage or Fiery enchant will still outperform the scaling gear, methinks, but it is still very nice to see them doing bind-to-account gear. The shoulders look positively ridiculous though. I'm all for that.

Looks good to me, I wouldn't mind getting that stuff. although I dunno what else I'd be lvling now... besides DK... there are no other classes I can lvl for female BE ;/

Probably would be nice if you already had a stockpile of the new raid tokens. Failing that though it'd be faster to amass the cheap non BoE whites and enchant them, and faster is what twinking low levels is all about.

I just hope that the 'ilvl 1' on the items is some kind of bug, otherwise you could never enchant them with the good stuff.

What exactly was your issue?
Also, keep in mind this is a beta; not a fully supported final release open to the public.

The issue is that they sent me a beta key, and I followed every instruction step-by-step (not that I could follow many), and as soon as I was told to enter in my account name / password / beta key, it says Invalid Login. I changed my password a couple times for the main game to try it, I've reset my password, and nothing. I know it's the right password too because I log in game to every pass I enter in before I go to upgrade. It like won't recognize my account or something.

Looks like.. wow is getting a rework not just in awesome looking areas and polygon upgrade.. but models to match! Might be at a later date though, for now a blue post says its jsut a "experiment"
