The issue is that they sent me a beta key, and I followed every instruction step-by-step (not that I could follow many), and as soon as I was told to enter in my account name / password / beta key, it says Invalid Login. I changed my password a couple times for the main game to try it, I've reset my password, and nothing. I know it's the right password too because I log in game to every pass I enter in before I go to upgrade. It like won't recognize my account or something.

Ah, yea... You'll definitely want to contact [email protected] and have them straighten that out.
When I was giving a friend a beta key, they had the same issue, they then tried from their mom's account and it went through just fine. So that issue is not something you can fix on your end =(

This isn't exactly BETA related, but it's pretty cool nevertheless:

PVE to PVP transfers are being opened up! So if you leveled on a PVE server, or your first characters were on PVE, then you can now transfer them to PVP servers. I thought this was interesting, and someone brought it up that Blizzard was pulling out the big guns to try to get people to play WoW over War Hammer.

Also, I can't wait to login to see how my human female looks, haha. Plus, I also read that these changes aren't staying and that the gnome ones look REALLY fucked.

Is there any 'safe' way to get the beta client / patches so that I can at least DL that while I'm waiting on blizz to fix my issue? I'd torrent it or something, but I'm rather afraid of a keylogger as I've already been hacked a couple months ago. The Download Client link keeps telling me access denied, so I'm assuming thats the only legit way to get it...Which would kind of bite.

I kinda wish I never deleted WoW off my PC. I had the beta DLed before but decided to just get rid of it because I'd never get an invite, hah, go figure.

Hmm, was looking at the hunter T7 10/25 loot, the difference between the two isn't that big. About 5-8 for agi/stam/int, 7-12 for crit etc

So is anyone making a level 70 (preferably AOE) DPS or healer anytime soon on the beta? Once I download I'll most likely be going to level my prot paladin, as prot if the mobs play nice enough for some grinding like that.

If they were really going to do that, they'd be buffing the classes to do an average 3000-3500 dps not gimping them down through the floor!

People overall like big numbers... after raiding bt/hyjal/sunwell for so long and doing dps of like 1600-2200+? then getting lv80 and doing basically that same DPS still is kind of a let down imo (which they are doing atm) hopefully they will see, not just eyecandy will keep people playing but big numbers which many are used to

So far, Warhammer seems ok, I still need to give it more of a shot. But I really don't think it's going to take much from WoW. It'll be something EQ/DAoC vets may go into if they're currently on WoW, but I don't think it's good enough to get people to switch if they still enjoy WoW. At the moment, WoW is playing things wonderfully to keep people interested and excited, imo. And especially catering to the smaller groups of friends with allowing 10-mans of everything and to not require any particular classes for any content.

Note I am flying on a 280% mount, not 60%! You can imagine how painfully long it would take to fly around these area's seeing how slow it seems on 280.

I took these videos in a hurry before Blizz decides to shutdown the area's again!

To answer a few questions...

1. I was in a hurry to record before server crash/blizz closes down icecrown/stormpeaks again like they did before.
2. Music in videos isn't the zone music
3. Epic flying was used in the videos.
4. If the video seems "sluggish" please close background programs, the videos are made to be very high quality and may use 100% cpu power on old machines ( like pentium 4's)
5. In the Ulduar video, the portal animation I went through is for 25man, so it did nothing to me.
6. The icecrown "cube people" are place holders, they have no model... so you just see them wonder around as some cube. The cubes have a very very small aggro range.
7. There are several Lv 82 elite bone dragon type mobs floating around.
8. Upper right corner of the map is where "The Sindragosa from the Lich King Promo video" is located, the area is called "Sindragosa's Fall"
9. You cannot use the Runeforge beside icecrown, that and theirs pats of elites and dozen's of undead all over the place.
10. The airships "move" around constantly (and very slowly) so... you may have to go looking for them.

I tend to be on late at night, 10pm onwards pacific. I'm not sure if my character copy is done yet or not, I'll know for sure once I have all the patches installed.
