There was some hypocrisy from Iroh in the finale. He says he doesn't want to kill his brother for the crown because it would go down in history as a brother killing his brother for power. Yet, he sends Zuko to go confront Azula lulz. Though to Iroh's credit he didn't know Azula was Firelord but still, I laughed.

I thought that was a little off too when I saw it. I imagine it's different slightly by the fact that Iroh probably knew at this point Zuko wouldn't kill them, where as Iroh probably felt that a fight against Ozai in his own time was "kill or be killed". In Iroh's time he didn't have the backing of the Avatar and friends to help keep order afterwards so the only way to really take the crown was to eliminate the previous Firelord.

Also, the whole Firelord/Phoenix King thing had me laughing. You knew Ozai was letting her have a title and no absolute power while he took the new "rule the world" title. I have to say though, when Aang and friends kept talking about the Firelord and how he had to be defeated, I was waiting for some horrible twist where Aang doesn't realize Azula is the new Firelord and attacks her instead of Ozai. That theory went out the window when Ozai went on his little surfboard to the comet though, I mean, that's kind of hard to miss.

I thought Aang couldn't go into avatar mode anymore since the fight with Azula? How did he get that power back?

I thought that was a little off too when I saw it. Well as much as I would have liked to see Aang get his revenge on Azula, he really did have no beef with her other than the whole lightning to the back thing. Zuko and Katara on the other hand did have some beef with her. Zuko just wanted to get back at her, and I'm pretty sure Katara was still pissed at her for basically killing Aang, so it was nice to see that hashed out. Besides.. that scene where Ozai started to burn things.. man, that was so awesome. Not awesome that he was destroying things, but just the way the fire looked and how magnified his powers were. That was too cool.

People are calling it a big plot hole, but I think it was just an accidental thing. Originally, he had actually obtained his Avatar State by "letting go", but Azula shot him and hit him right where his final chakra was, locking it again. I think during his fight with Ozai, when he pushed Aang back against that rock, it just reopened that chakra that Azula originally closed. I look at it the same way I look at an amnesia patient. You know in stories where someone gets hit in the head real hard and all the sudden get amnesia? Then if they get hit in the head again in the same spot, their memory comes back? That's how I saw it. D: Just my opinion of course.

thats basically how it happend, when he gets hit in that specific spot, like the circut was completed.. it all goes out the window and he becomes bad ass avatar

Wow, I always passed this thread over thinking it was about someone with an avatar issue. I had no idea it was Avatar as in the element based cartoon on Nick. I remember maybe 2 years ago now (wow?) I was watching the premiere with my little brother. We both enjoyed it but I never went back and watched the rest, it was like 4 episodes back to back if I remember right and it was really interesting. How far behind am I, there has to have been more seasons at this point, if it turned out to be a good show I guess I'll watch it despite how dorky I'll feel afterwards.

I remember he was about to set out to like train the other elements since he could only control wind or something, did he end up doing that or does he remain a one trick wind/air pony? (Although him floating around all nonchalant was pretty cool)

There's 3 seasons and the finale just aired. If you're going to watch the show, better not to ask plot questions and find out yourself.

Agreed. Magus, just find the show and watch it in it's entirety, or if you have Nicktoons, it comes on there too. You shouldn't feel dorky after watching this. You should feel dorky after watching Spongebob. God I hate that show.
