Ranger MND build

Randomly yesterday I picked up a Machine Crossbow. I was just wondering how to properly gear up a MND set for holy spam. Also if its even worth it and in what situation its best. Would love to see some MND sets that other people have with or without optimal gear. Also just RNG gear would be nice also. Only been 75 for a little and don't know the way of the ranger quite yet.

The very best holy bolt fun Ive had is in Temenos, its double light weather in there. Some basic, fairly easy to get, MND gear for RNG are: Denali Bonnet(+4), Light Obi, Suzaku Sune-Ate(+15). The add effect does more dmg than the bolt itself, pretty fun. I really wouldnt go out of your way to get a huge MND set up as its only really really effective in Limbus. Having a couple easy pieces for a run every couple weeks isnt a bad idea.

My MND build consist of:

Scouts Beret
Kirin's Osode
Suzaku's Sune-ate

Other pieces that can be used:

Faith Torque/Promise Badge
Hunter's Braccae
MND Rings
R.K. Belt +1/2

Personally, with just what I use, I get good results on things that don't resist. On things that do, it's not worth it even if I max out MND.

Get the new knife from ZNM. It's fucking awesome for +10% holy damage.

My RNG MND Gear ~ Its a lil old so I have updated it some but what I dont have on that I could switch to is AF1 pants and I now have a Comumimmim Earring +1 (MND+2) that I can add in If I so choose And as previously stated I only use it for Temenos ~

Classicred has a pretty well rounded holy bolt build there. Apollo's staff is a must if you want to pull this off, (its better than trilling dagger). The only concern I have with a holy bolt build is if theres any diminishing returns (I'm not sure) on stacking MND+ pieces because theres a few slots that Red could put with a fair more MND+. Like Denali Hands have +4 MND, and AF+1 legs have +4 MND. If there is diminishing returns then we would need to know whats the best MND+ equipment to have geared and then fill everything else with RATT+ or RACC+ depending.

Also is anyone certain that Light Obi improves the damage on Holy Bolts? I've never tested it personally, but if it does work then essentially you could have a SCH hit you with Light Weather for a relatively decent boost on your damage anytime.

In the end Holy Bolt build is extremely situational, but would be something fun to mess around with if you are concerned with pulling hate by spamming slugwinder.

I have not personally tested it but a RNG friend of mine and I were discussing this the other day and he said it does (he tested in Temenos). He said he averaged around 137 additional effect per bolt (lightsday in temenos).
