Zayholm remnants usu feet 15 only strategy

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I used the search function and couldn't find any strategy about this.

I've never done Zhayholm before, and recently I decided to farm only 4F frag with group of friend.
I am just wondering what routes should I take and what should I farm which will ensure me to get to 4F without too much hassell.

    Our setup will be Sam(drk or war)/ war(thf rdm)/ thf(brd)/ brd(mnk blm whm)/ rdm(blu thf sam)/ rdm.

I decided to ask here since from what I read, it seems that you need silver sea card on 2F in order to go to 3F? I kind of stop there and not sure if I read it right. It also got me thinking that if I am only doing 4F with 6 ppl, do I need to farm as many cells like what others suggested?

If all your aiming for is 4F frog the one drops 15 usukane feet. You need to reach the 4F in 30mins. Easiest way to do this is to get wep/ja/sj/magic from first floor, go up the NE porter on 1f to get to the 2F. Clear that room. Can just go up to portal in the middle to go to 3F. Have 1 person run North to the porter, while the other 5 people kill mamools and get people HP cells. Person who ran N, ports up before the 30min mark. If all your aiming is for 4F you dont really need leg cells/hands/head, unless you have extra time. But judging from your post your pretty unfamiliar with ZR so might wanna just stick to what I wrote above. You dont need cards or anything for 4f Frog.

The card is used to spawn a NM, because you need to kill 4 NM to spawn 6F frog. Has really nothing to do with 4F frog.

The other thing you can do is try to pop 1F frog by using the logout trick which has a chance of dropping the 15 usu feet. By doing this makes it bit easier to hit the 5f and 6f frogs and still giving yourself a chance at the 15 usu feet.

*redoing post to elaborate on Zubuis's post*

A normal Zhayholm run generally consists of the following
    ---------------
First designate 3 people who will have a 'full unlock'
1st: farm and use the logout 'trick' to spawn the 1st Floor Madame
Condition: Clear a wing and kill the Porogo Gent without using cells
Trick: have everyone but 1 person use cells, after killing gent have all but that 1 person logout for 30-45 seconds
2nd: Farm to get needed drops, use the socket to spawn the Madame, use the Slot (silver sea card) to spawn jakko and port up (dont need to kill)
3rd: Farm west path to get cells needed, port up on the NORTH (usually send someone and continue farming for additional cells)
4th: Get the correct rampart, maybe kill some of the locals if need cells
5thN: Kill Madame (only spawns if 3 people have ALL pathos removed); drops lvl35 armor
6th: Kill Madame (only spawns if 4 other NM have been killed [1st, 2x on 2nd, 5th in above example]); drops lvl35 armor
    7th: Boss if desire/time allows

If you really just need the 15, I'd stick with 4th floor in under 30 mins. The first floor is not a guaranteed drop. The first time my old group did this run we were new to frogs, so if you are in the boat, do not let it die to DOT while you're all charmed, we learned that lesson the hard way...

In short don't dot frogs, have mages and everyone not fighting stay out of chourus range etc. etc. Frogs ARE sleepable by dark-based sleep, unless of course you entered Zhay on darksday.

Though you will sometimes get the frog from hell where if you didnt have some form of DoT on it would never die... Had one 5FN awhile back that every TP move was charm for about 8 min. Oh did I mention it was a lightsday frog? Fun fact Dia dot will still work in that case but no love for the bard.

Urgh I remember that one Hany >_< ended up taking us like 20 minutes... kept doing sleepga2 > charmga > sleepga2 -.-

Dropped my gambison though! (Or was it your legs v_v)

On topic though - with the 4f frog, assuming you're doing a sac pull... all of the frogs lose hate pretty easily, so it's very important for someone to pull the NM off of the sac puller as soon as possible. Many groups (including my own) had to experiment with this guy a while back, because somehow all the other frogs kept linking. What was happening was that some of the frogs were losing aggro on the puller during casting, and linking with the NM when it was voked off of the puller. Anyway, good luck with this run!

What we do for 4F is first start to clear the mamooljas. They are all mages type and link easilly so watch out. Once its done You'll have penty of room to kite the frog in the rampart roo. So the sac puller pulls frogs to teleporter room, and someone brings the NM to the rampart room. The NM itself is very easy, and has low HP.

Sounds easy but the sac pull always seem to semi fail and we have needed 2 sac pullers so far, mainly due to the forgs not moving at the same time ( casting aga3 and such), NM loosing aggro from sac puller and linking a few frogs to the claimer etc.. But you have 70 minutes to do this so don't worry.

My group was never able to do the 4th-4th-6th madames in a single run...it's probably the only thing we never managed to do, and it would require some dat edit, and perfect coordination.

If you need Usu feet, I would do the following. (if you don't, then do a normal 5th/6th floor run as described above)

-Preration: Bring 5-7 ppl, not more (whm rdm brd melee/nin x2)
    - Floor 1: Farm the first 4 inners room to unlock everyone, if you have a 7th, farm an additional 2 cells while someone else run to NE teleport
-Floor 2: Clear the earrings/range/back rooms, runs to SW room and clear the first, and left pack of wyvern for 6 legs. Go to NW room and clear the first and right pack of wyvern for head 6 heads. Zone up (dont really need hand pieces)
-Floor 3: Clear the first room, then send someone (i usually send a healer) to north teleport. Kill as many mamools as you can to unlock everyone, and zone up at 29min
-Floor 4: Clear the mamools (careful with link), it will also give you more room to pull the frog and a few additional stats cell. For the pull, hide works if you have a thief, as long you don't aggro them back 1sec after. The difficulty is that most frogs lose aggro easily, and the NM casts long spell. It's generally a good idea to run as far as you can (thats why you cleared mamool), and have a 2nd melee voke it off you to bring it to the teleport.
-5th floor: skip it. Put rr on if you send someone to portal, unless he is pretty good at dodging gears.
-6th floor: Hide in a corner, pop the mobs, kill them
-7th floor: Make sure everyone got the positioning correctly. You should have 30min, which is more than enough with a 5-7 ppl setup.

Last zhayolm, we killed the boss with 5 ppl (war/nin mnk/nin whm/smn rdm/whm and brd/whm). If you go with a small setup, shell 5, merited bar, stoneskin and carbuncle (not necessary) really help to counter Discoid. Just make sure to turn around after each discoid while you recuperate. This NM is a joke to hold with slow/elegy if you don't give it tp.

With 4F the way we sac it is:

We just get a THF to just sac it in the room that all the frogs are in. THF runs in and aggros all the frogs, someone pulls the madame poroggo. THF just flee's and runs around in the frog room and eventually dies in the corner. By this time we have pulled the madame and are fighting it in the hallway or the room that you start in when you tele up. Then we just teleport up after killing the corresponding rampart and give the THF a R3 on the next floor.

I've always found this way to be a more simplistic than THF running to the 4F-5F teleporter while someone plucks the madame off and goes to the Rampart room. Sometimes they link funny n stuff, or they get caught behind because they dont move at the same speed/pace (probably cause some casting and whatnot). Way I mentioned it above has always worked more cleaner for my group.

since people aren't really giving times, I'll supply what we've used as time goals for our runs dedicated to 4FN.

1F: chest; 4 middle rooms; send runner up NE as soon as you clear the second room (stealth the MMJ here; he's a waste of time) target: 8minutes.
    2F: clear NE, farm heads and/or legs/feet - target: 25minutes (17minutes on the floor).
3F: farm S for cells while someone stealths up to North porter - target: 29 minutes. (4 minutes on floor)

you can farm on 4F for additional stat cells to do 5F after madame is killed but this is dicey at best. I tend to do 1F kills to accumulate random 15's from zhayolm and only do 4FN or 3FN for 15's when we absolutely have to.

When arriving at 4F with a popped Madame, just dont be wise and kill the wrong rampart and re-warp the floor thinking that some extra cells from the mamools help. The Madame will vanish even if you popped it under 30 when time go over 30 min mark and re-warp floor. Haha.

I wonder if it's possible to kill 4F madame multiple times if you get up to 4F very fast? i.e. arrive, kill madame, kill wrong rampart and restart level still under 30 min. Maybe there's no madame on the second layout, so you'd need to kill the wrong rampart again to get the madame again. Or maybe the madame won't pop again at all.

I would do this since it's your very first Zhayolm run, I'd recommend targeting the 4F frog only. Any mistakes with time, and you've screwed up your sole reason for doing this run. After you get the hang of the zone, then you can try to fit 4F with other NMs/Boss if you wish.

If this is possible, curious if it would count for the 6F frog. Example, Jakko (pop), 4F x2, 5F, then 6F Frog.

You'd have to have time-stopping powers to be able to fully gear 3 people and pop 4f frog twice, unless you mean S route.
