Not unless you know someone in the IT department, no.

well, this isn't strictly true but the other answer is harder than just making friends with the IT department. (involves VPN's etc.)

ok so im having some issues with ffxi.

mainly when im playing i will often have times where ffxi randomly crashes saying that the connection has been terminated.
it then kicks me to my desktop and says that i am not connected to my wireless connection. i have to restart my comp to get the connection back

if it matters, this is usually prefaced by the sound stuttering awfully....

    any advice? haha

Hm...haven't run into that. Sounds like a PCI issue, but I'm not sure.

Peripheral Component Interconnect. The expansion bus that network cards, sound cards, etc typically use.

Could be a resource conflict or driver issue with either device, or with another device on it that's causing your problem. However, I haven't seen that particular thing happen. You do have the Boot Camp drivers all installed, right?

Yes, I inserted the OSX disc after FFXI and just let all of that run.

OK sorry to bump this again but the problem is still continuing.

A friend suggested that it may be a problem with my sound card or something.
If so, how would I go about getting this fixed?
