Agreed. If they wanted to slow down the Hack-world transfer, they would put a 5 day waiting period on world transfers (similar to buying a gun), which would give you enough time to get the account frozen before it swapped servers.

This is a great solution! Not only will it make cross-server buying/selling more of a gamble, but it will also eliminate the server transfer for compromised accounts.

Why is it that most compromised accounts are immediately server-swapped anyway? Is it to move the account's goods to the most favorable auction house? Or just to avoid player harassment from the compromised account's friends? Either way, make sure the 5-day waiting period is able to be cancelled by the GM's and a refund given.

It's probably all of those factors, combined with anonymity. If you add this with my previously mentioned but currently not-so-bright idea of an automatic 90 day cool down on new characters and you would have yourself a nice little protection scheme.
