Both her and Rosa were in the late 900's at the time. Now they're both up to 1700~ or something, so you can probably tell I've leveled a shitload since.

I think Rydia gets around 1k HP at level 42~ or so lol, so yeah... I had them at 49 and was barely surviving Deluge with 3+ party members, so I went back out to the cave and leveled to 51 and tried it again (51 with Cecil, rest of the party was 49 and Edge was 45 or 46... trying to catch him up is a pain in the ass btw.)



BY THE WAY, "roo-beh-kaan-teyh"? Seriously? I always thought it was "roo-bee-can't".. =/ (although I admit, it makes his name sound more badass heh..)

At least they did Kain the way the majority of us would think it sounds (like cane). In the JP version, it's pronounced Kyne.

But then they ruined it by giving Kain a terrible voice actor. I never thought I'd hear a voice more forced than Snake in MGS4, but god damn they managed to do it. But yeah, Kain is about the only thing I actually pronounce right, after all these years I still say chocobo wrong.

Although I agree and am kind of put off by his voice, he more or less sounds the same in the JP version, so I guess you could say they did a good job trying to match the original voices (which I didn't like Kain either btw).

Checking my save file at Baron just after getting Odin(After sealed cave, not that long after Leviathan) my guys are level 56-60. I would suggest you level up.

Edit: I like Cecil's voice, actually. Edge's too... Kain, however... Way too deep. If anything, I expected Cecil to have a deeper voice than Kain.

Cecil reminds me of Salem from Army of Two which just leads to all sorts of horribly funny thoughts in the first part of the game where it's just Cecil and Kain

just got to Mt. Ordeals, and saved before the boss fight at the top. I havent really had a chance to play since I got it, just kinda been playing it on and off when i'm lfg or the pt is taking a break.

so far im very impressed with this remake. although the new things they added make this kinda easier then I expected. Its still pretty challenging for the most part though.

I've been playing this on and off very little. I love it so far. At first I was thrown off by the way the characters looked in the trailer, it grew on me fast while playing. Voice-overs I think are incredible as well.

I actually might be one of the few people that likes Kain's voice-over though I think. My reasoning though is probably a bit different (and is a spoiler for those that haven't played through before).

Considering Kain is "evil" for a decent portion of the game while Golbez controls him, I think the sinister sound to his voice matches quite well.

I'm about to go through the antlion cave (wasn't kidding when I said I haven't played much!), and I really, REALLY can't wait to get to Mt. Ordeals because IMO that is when the game just takes off.

Great re-make, well worth the money.

Cecil's seemed annoying to me earlier in the game, but doesn't bother me as much. Kain's is too deep, though. None are so bad that it takes anything away, imo. About to go into the underworld, but have been leveling up my Whyt lately. The mini-games are fun to play. Especially Cecil's and Kain's

well i just owned Asura and Leviathan at lv 50 (cecil) rest were 46-48

Asura i did dualcast Dispel + reflect on boss then let Rydia use Dragon and kain jump till death, while curing cecil.

For leviathan only rydia and Edge died on Deluge, i raised them and did 2 ramuh and 2 jump to finish leviathan. Was like wtf

The only boss I've died to so far(Just beat the giant of babil) was Golbez right when you get to the underworld. Took me like 3 tries to figure out how to beat him... The first time I tried, for some reason, his deathga dialog started immediately leaving me no time to prepare/jump. :S
