The final dungeon is really pissing me off... i'm 66~ and it's really frustrating when you get like 1-2 levels in there (which takes a while) only to open a chest with an insanely hard dragon that kicks everyone's ass with 2 spells back to back.

if you mean the Red Dragon, yeah he almost kicked my ass too. You need to farm those later for the Onion Sword.

no$gba is the best DS emulator out there, but it's still pretty shitty for alot of games. Doesn't hurt to give it a shot though I guess. Tons of places to get NDS roms, I use http://ndash.eu/en/?lnk=dsn.

Just about to enter the Sylph Cave. Maybe Asura and Leviathan will be a good challenge, because nothing this game has thrown at me recently has been all that hard. Only rough things are those fights with two or more fire cat things, but I just started running from that shit. I even beat Rubicante with essentially three people, considering Edge just sat there waiting to Steal to close his cloak and Kain only got to Cry and then defend the whole fight because he had an Ice Lance and that healed the boss.

Early in the game I stopped every so often to grind a little bit, but I haven't done anything like that in a long time now. Just filling out the Bestiary is enough to level me up to a good point.

I will agree the Edge's RAGE cutscene was freaking badass.

Kain only got to Cry and then defend the whole fight because he had an Ice Lance and that healed the boss.

You can change equips mid fight, just go to items and then hit up. Unless of course you had sold every other weapon, in which case you know not to do that in the future.

God, I totally forgot about that. I had even used that feature in an earlier fight! Could have swapped over to that Dwarf Axe thing I got earlier in the dungeon. Oh well, its not like I ended up having any issues winning with just Cecil/Rydia for damage.

I spent 4 hours in Antlions Den killing puddings for them last night. Cecil went from level 21 to 29.

I'm level 66ish and doing the rest of the Namingway questline and I've spent at least 4 or 5 hours with no success. I had better luck with drops in FFXI. (And I'm like 0/45+ on Mee Deggi)

I got the pudding from one of the first pudding mobs i killed, almost sold it for 100k since i didn't know what it was for.

Lunar Subterrane is a blow out the ass, I've spent 5 hours on it to get game over 4 times, how low does it go? The furthest I got was to b5 with the chest that gives you the red dragon ambush, who promptly raped my whole party.

Any chests I should know about that aren't Behemoths so I don't get game over again? I've opened just about every safe chest so far and I'm going to scream if I get a shitty ambush and game over again

if I get blue dragon x2 again I'm also going to get game over, I'm only lvl 55-60 so normal monsters are harder than the bosses, white dragon took me about 2min to take down and gave me no trouble at all, the dark sages were even harder

If memory serves, it goes down to B13 or around there on the SNES/PS1 version.

Protip: if you see a floating Goblin, cast lightning magic on it. They're weak to lightning.
