I played the demo of this, I didn't enjoy it at all. The controls were pretty awful, the combat was pretty sluggish and jumpy. graphics were okay (I'm not too big of a graphics whore) The story was just kinda like wtf. I know they just throw you in, but it still didn't make much sense. The menu screens were kinda clunky as well.

Overall, for a game that has been in development for 10 years, I think it could at least use another year for more polish. It felt like a very underdeveloped Devil May Cry.

I only took like 22, without a guide, and doing a decent amount of the stuff...

DO NOT WANT. I'll stick to ToV and IU!
I thought the entire point of the game was to feel like an offline action-mmorpg. It has lv 50 cap, tons of gear, different classes & a few diff skill tree's per class. Getting beyond the poor control scheme (I haven't played the demo, just going by what you all are saying), I think it's just a poor idea they didn't set it up in a diablo style where you can play w/ others online. & I'd be very surprised if you couldn't customize the controls in the retail version

Well the day after they released the demo for download, they delayed the game 2 1/2 weeks, more than likely to get feedback and adjust/polish the game accordingly. The thing with the game is you cant reach lv 50 on your first play through their saying. Ive rfead diffrent amounts of time but to reach with one class they said would be like an upwards of 80hrs, if your a completionist much more time to be played. Fable 2 and Fallout 3 are going to be long games and dependent on your choices. Disgaea 3 also is supposed to be soemthin of like 200+ hours of gameplay.

Was that really what the game should have been? Then in that aspect they've succeeded, but their execution was piss poor. .Hack and FFXII did that a lot better.

Well both Ign and gamespot gave it poor reviews, 5.5-7.8, I guess ill be pickin this up for 20 bucks, def not worth the 60 for the shitty controls and the 10 hrs of gameplay for 1 run through.

Shouldn't let reviews form YOUR opinion. I'm still buying it.

I didnt make my decision based upon the review, my decision was made when they kept the same control scheme, the attacking on a analog is annoying and clumsy. Also 10 hrs 1 playthrough on an rpg? I'll wait till its cheaper.

Ive never bought or not bought a game dependant on a review, plenty games have been shuned that have been awesome, woulda missed out if I did that.

10 hour playtime for a full price home console RPG is really bad. That's acceptable on the PSP or DS, but not 360.

You could beat PSO in a few hours, but I played that (DC, GC, and XBox versions) for over 2000 hours. Although that title had a stronger multiplayer component.

Maybe it helps that I'm an achievement whore, but going after all of those gives all my games a lot more playtime/value than if I just finished it and tossed it into a pile never to be played again.

I personally liked the control scheme, and had a lot of fun with the demo. Co-op should make it a lot more fun, too, which I intend on playing a lot of.

They said the game is replayable so I don't see what all the fuss is about. It's more of an action adventure with RPG elements.

However, the controls still suck. EA seems like the only company who knows how to properly incorporate right stick controls into their games.

Tiger Woods, Fight Night, and Skate all did it right. The analog motions make those games feel fluid and realistic whereas Too Human just makes it awkward and counterintuitive.

The control really raped i for me, the idea behind the game is nice, it looks good, I just cant use an analog for fighting movements and its kinda generic what reaction u get from those movements. I was really excited for the game and im still going to buy it later, its just its not going to be worth the 60 dollar price tag to me.

Deejay I dunno if you've played monster hunter published by capcom for PS2, another title that did analog well, one of the few.

Worst demo I ever played.... the screen tearing was almost unbearable, and the controls suck.

This game is made from the same company that did Eternal Darkness? Why the fuck didnt they make ED2 (would be the most awsome game now-a-days w/what a system can do) instead of this game w/is getting horrid reviews. I know a 7.5+ isn't bad, but all the written part of the review just bashes the game left-&-right... If the game wasn't hyped so much I bet it would have gotten a much lower score.

The fact that death has no bearing on your game and u just get rezed right where u died is sounds so stupid. Is there any point in playing a tank or healer if you can die 100x's and not lose 1 minute of progress lol?

I don't pay attention to scores, BUT, I do pay attention to what the reviewer says about the game. This game has 2 critical errors in it that makes me not want to play it, a horrible control scheme, and what they describe as a "thin string" storyline that only really makes sense at the very end and also requires you to know quite a bit of Norse mythology to understand.
