Remember, TAU didn't exist when Limbus was released. Squenix only thinks one step ahead (if that), so when Sagheera was inserted, having her bring stuff from the "Near East" was a safe, comfortable plot device that wouldn't be subject to verification (you know, kind of like how "Far East" is now).

She's from the west, since the far east is the west if you go far east enough, and if you go so far east as to be immediately west, then you'd be near. They even explained as much in one of the Fablinix stories.

Actually, Square is two-steps ahead for the story. The Fellowship quests are all about the mirrors that come from Near East- the text from the final fellowship storyline quest about the creation of the mirrors was used nearly verbatim after final ToAU battle. So if they said that she is from the Near East, she is from the Near East

It also makes no sense that Sagheera can send artifact gear for "middle-lands" jobs off to the Near East for upgrading, yet these same artisans have no clue what to do with the standard uniform of the infamous soldiers of the Empire that they live in? How is it that Sagheera's crew can upgrade Summoner AF, but not Puppetmaster?

Or maybe the armours of the Near East jobs are already the equivalent of the +1 of the Middle Land artisans. The Near East artisans already perfected the BLU, COR, PUP AF therefore they can't do anything else like the other 15 jobs.

I mean why couldn't the middle land armoursmiths make the perfect armour for the jobs from the area THAT THEY LIVE why don't they just make it +1 already?

Since 3 pieces of my COR AF were crafted by artisans in Windurst, Bastok, and San d'Oria, maybe there's still room for improvement. Sadly, that doesn't include the hat.
