It would be really nice to see them drop the price on hourglasses. 1 mil for 64 and 1 mil for 36 people has always been kinda ridiculous to me. Also, perhaps the prices of currency will see a significant drop.

thing is with se unless we attack them with the same thing over and over we dont see anything change. they think "o people are doing it, we good" just because there are cool items in a event, no matter how much it sucks to do people will do it. they dont seem to understand this. we have been asking for a drop in the hourglass for what 3 years now? when limbus came out i asked myself "why is the price per person here and not there" and most have asked the same.

ill be very happy to see any drop in price. even if it took 3+ years to get it.

My main concern with the addition of ToAU job AF2 to Dynamis, however they choose to implement it (should they choose to implement it), would just be that the demand will be so high at the onset for these items, lol. I mean, in some cases you could see lines for these jobs AF2 being even greater for city zones than Northlands for things like RDM, PLD, etc. However, this is probably unavoidable and would ideally level out over time.

It does bring me to another point about Dynamis AF2 drops... SE knows and has published census data for job distribution in the game. So why not weight AF2 drops rates to be more in line with job distribution? They wouldn't even need to make it fall directly in-line with the census data, but for god sakes, RDM should drop more often than DRG or BST for example.

In my Salvage set a month ago, we had the thought that the following may happen:
- Morrigan's Robe set goes to SCH
- Skadi's Curie set goes to DNC

The reason being is the pattern on how both jobs get equipped gear-wise. RDM and BLM share a lot of similar gear when it comes to INT and Magic Attack. RDM and WHM share a lot of similar gear when it comes to MND gear. But, given that SCH plays more like RDM and BLM combined, Morrigan's is definitely going to them.

The same applies to DNC. When I leveled DNC and THF at the same time, a lot of the gear and knives were interchangeable save for the Noct Doublet set. Skadi shares the same characteristics as well in terms of similar armor equipped by both jobs. I would not be surprised DNC gets added to Skadi set. And, the two most useful pieces would be the Skadi body and legs for DNC probably.

I was expecting that to happen in the last update, but it never happened.

Maybe this September update, perhaps?

Also, remember one recent interview in 1up.com a few months back gave the suggestion of lowering Dynamis entry prices. Anyone think SE may go forward on that idea this next update?

do you do dynamis with more then 25~35 people anyway? the max amount of people allowed doesn't mean anything.

While from a role perspective, this makes sense, this setup would leave one set (Skadi) with five jobs and one with three jobs (Marduk). While not necessarily a huge issue, it might create a greater imbalance in demand than already exists. SE might try to avoid that kind of thing for this kind of event.

It also seems odd that they would wait this long to add SCH and DNC to the gear, unless they were trying to figure out what role these jobs would play before assigning them something.

That being said, I'm excited. Guess I better finish getting my other job merits caught up from the last update to make room for SCH merits.

I'm a melee, so I read this thread looking for the greatest cardinal sin of any melee, worse than having bad gear, YOU DO NOT FUCKING MELEE STATUES!

I don't even know what happens if you do, I just know I don't, and have had it drilled into my head too long to not freak out at the sight of someone meleeing a fucking statue.

...AND ITS A PUP IN AF2 TOO, ARGHHHH, KHANNNNNN!!!


Interesting though, hope Dnc group 1/2 make them useful endgame (just some way that you could build up steps/TP without meleeing things, so I won't feel like it is a total waste to level it? please?), hope the next set of story quests is as cool as the last one was (fuck, gotta go watch that shield bash/steal/high jump in slo mo again, if it was Maximilian doing it, I'd probably have to whack off to the awesomeness), and dyna...

I think I speak for a lot of people when I say fuck dynamis.

Better be Dynamis [S] or something new and arousing, though I still stand by my "we are in the Hydra corp, or at least will be fighting alongside them at some point" theory from way back.

You have to lose all three cities to the beastmen on your server (easily done, just ignore them for a week or two) and then reclaim all the zones to setup the timelines, to access Dyna [S] or whatever, and when you do so you get the ruined versions of the zones + new af drops.

That would be a hilarious cockblocking, which will never happen... right?

Nah. What would be amusing is if it took a Xarc clear to trigger, Cait Sith's meddlings with the timestream fuck up the whole Dynamis/Diabolos equation, and voila, we get Dynamis-S zones as a result.

My guess is that they're adjusting Iceland drop rates and the entry fee and that they thought it would be cool to ninja in a shot of PUP AF2 to show they're adding that too, without splitting the banner a fourth time.

You guys are reading into it too much. If that screenshot means that PUP AF2 will drop in Dynamis - Jeuno, doesn't that mean by virtue that PLD AF2 should drop there too? Here's a shocker, there's no PLD AF2 in Dynamis - Jeuno.

My money is on an entirely different system altogether, or maybe even new Dynamis zones, but they won't add AF2 to old zones.

Yes, that's almost definitely PUP AF2, but that doesn't necessarily mean it'll be in Dynamis. What it COULD mean is that Dynamis will finally go down in price and they just threw the AFv2 in there coincidentally (like they do with practically everything). Granted, this is wishful thinking, but I'm not gunna jump to any conclusions.

I'm almost afraid of what the new merits will give SCH & DNC. SCH is already a great job without them and, conversely, I'm not sure if there's anything from merits that could drastically change DNC.

Sch merits will either suck amazingly (hard to imagine how) and Sch's will bitch, they will be fucking borked and Rdm's will bitch (more), or they'll somehow surprise us all with decent usefulness without breaking the game.

Dnc merits that could change things: a 10 > 7.5 > 5 > 2.5 minute meritable timer that lets you "meditate" up a step or two without engaging so you could build up steps in downtime, and build up TP by reverse flourishing.

Step Acc/Waltz Potency/Waltz recast will be likely, Step duration maybe, then a FM charge increase option could show up but I'm not sure since it MIGHT break some things, though I don't really think it would be broken to go from 5 > 10 stored FM's.

Mostly Im just hoping they give them something like Improvisation or whatever appropriate name that lets you fire off a little jig or whatever and build up some FM's every few minutes.
