I love finding the healers that enjoy curing, they let me go batshit hasso balls to the wall without guilt.

Always fun, and fast to boot!

Outside of dual brd 3-5 mobs at camp, non-stop slaughtering, it just isn't as fun as slow, random, funny, Campaign.

For my bard, campaign is a welcome change from the stressfest of a typical merit party. I have a blast testing my crowd control and kiting skills without any risk of XP loss. Since I'm nearly always solo, I sub WHM so I can be self-sufficient and assist others who aren't. Whenever I stop to melee, I watch my chat log for people to whom I can toss a -na and I always tab around for anyone in range who needs some cures.

Battles are never boring, rarely traumatic and usually pretty satisfying. Unlike in meripo, you silly DD's are easy to please in campaign.

My god, I don't know what I'd do with a bard following me around all the time in Campaign.

I had one time in Garlaige where a little bardlet taru ran up and started poking the mob I was soloing, so I just invited her, she asked songs, said march/march and we went to town. :D

    ^-- Both of these

Can go as you like and do what you want for ok amount of xp/merit (can seek while doing this if needed also). Bird camp getting boring so quick lately

I voted no simply, because it's not as strict as say a meripo. I myself have definantly stopped meriting in general just to campaign that way I can sub whatever I want and wear whatever build I feel much more comfortable with.

I have to agree with Max and Devia on this. Campaign is just fun, especially with a group of friends. Ever since Campaign came out I stopped meritting on my RDM and SAM, it's just too much of a hassle to have to deal with morons complaining about xp, camps, and gear all the time. I rather just hang out with a group of friends and jump from battle to battle for a few hours.

I voted no... Which is why I show up to Campaign in my Reverend Mail with a Darksteel Maul and Holy Shield.

I started campaigning because Merit parties are boring on WHM, as there is usually no one to heal. I also have a tendency to go AFK a lot, so Campaign is perfect for being able to come and go as you please.

Proper gears doesnt matter in campaign imo...as long you don't act like a jerk

Mage who never heal when you tank for them, melee who can't voke, rdm who solo something 3 miles away from the tower...those people need to be shot.

I tell people, "if you start overwhelming me with TP spam, I'm going to gravity this, kite it away til it loses hate on me, and then it's going to want to come chew on you... toss me a cure to keep me standing, or run."

In that scenario..how does the mage know said player will try to get hate back if they start tossing cures? Really, support is risky with melee/tanks in campaign D:.

Im not a rdm, usually I campaign on pld... but I would rather solo something for 15 min and get 2-2.5k xp then have 23876 people beating on a mob, campaign end in 3 minutes and get 150 xp.

Oh good lord, hell no. You should, and I do, but if I see someone wearing crap I'm not gonna think twice about it, it's their prerogative. Maybe they didn't feel like shuffling gear in/out of their moghouse, that can take upwards of fifteen minutes sometimes, or maybe they wanted to wear town gear/fashion gear, or any number of other reasons I can think of. I have my best gear all macro'd in for campaign, including gearsets I don't use for anything else really (like my nuking macros on RDM, I almost never nuke outside of Campaign), but again, I wouldn't hold it against someone who doesn't.

Even more risky if one went with full-fledged DD mode.

Guys like this I track down on AP Radar and either shout the location; or because he's so strong, I bring him more mobs to solo.

Of course, this is more fun if the mob just happens to use Ore Lob
