Frasier maybe?
Oh wow that's 15 years old, there has to be something more recent.

Frasier was the last one I can think of. I think they tried to spin off of 'Friends' but that never really got anywhere.
well, if youre going for recent, theres like 50 csi/law and order spin-offs.
though Ive never watched any of them, and wonder if they even have any of the same characters in them at all.
Angel is somewhat recent.
Colbert Report!
Yeah Frasier was the one I was thinking of... I thought maybe King of Queens was a spinoff of Everybody Loves Raymond but I checked and nope...
Of course, if you just go to spinoffs in general, just CSI and Law & Order have had more successful spinoffs together than all sitcoms have had in the last decade or so.
I'm surprised no one's made a "Cleveland Steamer" joke yet.
The Jeffersons (Spinoff of All in the Family), Laverne and Shirley (Happy Days), and Rhoda (Mary-Tyler Moore) were probably the must successful Spinoff shows other than Frasier that I can think of off the top of my head. (hi2u Nick at Nite) I don't think any good Spin-Off shows have made a successful series in a long time other than the Law and Order and CSI's, and I doubt this new Cleveland show will change that.
Private Practice (spinoff of Grey's Anatomy) is the most recent spinoff I can think of that has warranted a 2nd season.
You know what? This has been pent up inside of me for well over a decade now, I must say it. Frasier was the most overrated sit-com in the history of television. There is a difference between intellectual and pompous; Frasier was not well written, it was poorly written with a humongous dose of snobby that made people believe that it was smart. Approximately 75% of the episodes used the plot exemplified by Three's Company called "The wacky mix up" in which some wacky mix up occurs and there is a misunderstanding that people have to play along with to keep someone else from finding out about the wacky mix up, but they do by the end of the episode and everyone is wiser for the experience until the next wacky mix-up episode where they all go through it again.
Seriously, every time people talk about how amazingly funny Frasier was I question if I am truly from this planet since I cannot understand this human concept of shitty humor. (Friends and Seinfeld as well.)
I have to agree with most of this. Every now and then someone, usually their father, would get out a decent joke at the expense of one of the Crane brothers. Unlike other shows where the jokes are funny enough to stay with you, I can't give you a single example of a funny one-liner or situation. It's all very forgettable. I've seen tons of episodes from when it was still running, (mostly because I watched whatever my parents were watching on TV), and I've even seen some recently when I leave my TV on for noise after Golden Girls is over. Given, it's pretty rare that I laugh out loud at anything on TV, but Frasier can't even make me crack a smile.
The Cleveland Show is going to be absolutely awful. Anyone want to take bets on how many seasons (or episodes) it may run? I'm giving it 1 season maximum, but I don't expect it to make it that far. People will tune into the pilot because of its ties to Family Guy, but I think viewer numbers will decrease so significantly after its debut that it'll be shitcanned before the full season is aired.
I thought this was a cruel joke. Until I found out it was real. Then I cried a little.
This is pretty old news.
Also, Septimus must now die in a fire for putting Seinfeld on the same scale as the Godawful Friends. Maybe Seth MacFarlane can join.
Friends is the stuff. I still watch it every night. I also watch Frasier, but that's mainly because I only get like two TV channels so I don't have much choice. I'm usually doing math or something while Frasier is on instead of actually paying much attention to it.
Ive never watched friends nor have any want or need to ever watch it. I can't say for sure I hate it, but I do assume I hate it. I also hated fraiser. Love Seinfield though.
A show dealing with Cleveland only, do not want. He's so boring....
Friends was shit, how was Fraiser ever popular enough to be overratted anyway? It was an ok show, but no where near popular. Seinfeld is still good.
Needs more Drew Carey show, Married with Children, Happy Days, Family Matters, and All in the Family.
Id kill for some more Drew Carey and Married with Children.
11 seasons and 37 Emmy wins (a record for any show) disagree with your "not popular" assessment. It split the big ratings and critical praise tightrope pretty much perfectly - it was won the Emmy for best comedy series 5 years in a row at one point and for a bit Kelsey Grammer was the highest paid actor on television.
It was very popular.
