. . . . . you've dropped more Goliard than any of the NMs I've seen.
In 3.5 months, my group has gotten ZERO Goliard drops period. The past month we've done nothing but 20/40/60/80 floor runs.

That was exactly the example I was thinking of. Bankai's assuming the AI checks to see if there's a drop and then randomly sees what its options are, then chooses one of the available options. I think it's more likely there's a 67% chance of nothing dropped, and then an 11% chance of each piece dropping (or numbers similar to that). If that 11% chance happens to fall on Goliard, nothing drops, not one of the other two.

I suppose you could test it for sure on floor 100 if everyone had, say, Askar head, and the Runic Disc holder stayed in the zone. If nothing dropped, you know that's how it works.

This could also explain why Treasure Hunter seems to have a greater impact on Nyzul Isle than other places; if you add +4% from TH4 to each of three items' chance to drop, that's going to add +12% to the overall drop rate, turning a 67/11/11/11 ratio into a 55/15/15/15 ratio. (Numbers are shown to illustrate my point, not to actually try to reproduce exact results).

In the last 1.5 months, our semi-static has received (with TH3):

80 - Askar Body x2, Denali Body x1, Goliard Body x4
60 - Askar Hands x2, Denali Hands x3, Goliard Hands x1
40 - Askar Legs x1, Denali Legs x3, Goliard Legs x0

Our theory has been Right = Askar, Middle = Denali, Left = Goliard, but it works circularly, so Right x2 = Goliard, Left x2 = Askar, etc. But everyone and their grandmother swears by a different superstition on the drops. Many JPs insist on "killing the Archaic Rampart" to increase drop rate, but I've noticed no difference doing so in ~9 months of Nyzul Isle.

5x Askar Bodies, 2x Denali, 0x Goliard. Nyzul follows the same rule as everything else, it's completely random, unless you really need it, then it's guaranteed 0% rate.

Our static group has the entire body set. Lol. We've begun tossing / selling to random ppl since we're climbing everyones disc for 140K points for the relics. ^^

My static were /wristing at the constant Goliard Body drops from Floor 80. Eventually after 8 drops everyone in the static plus 2 stand ins has one. Never seen it drop again. Either had nothing or Askar or Denali Body. Don't know if it is coincidence or because every person in the party had one in their inventory. I told everyone not to toss it until we are done with Nyzul just incase >.>

Yesterday we had an awesome run. 4/4 drops :D 2 Askar legs, 1 Askar Hands, 1 Goliard Hands. Completed 2 Askar sets yesterday in addition to our 1 completed Goliard. Our running total now is:
