I didn't have much trouble with any of the games, and I'm some what lacking sleep. Yeah, they were a tad annoying, and I'm not very good at 'twitch' games, but once I recognized the patterns, it wasn't so hard. Did it for both of my characters.

It's kind of a welcome change of pace. But... what happened to goldfish scooping?

I screamed like I'd lost a limb a few times, but yea, they're all fun as hell. The shooting one was the easiest for me, Pixies were rarely a problem cuz you can hit wait and move on pretty quickly.

All in all, I'm out more cash than I thought I'd be. ._.

They actually put effort forth for these minigames. I'm fucking impressed. The sandy one is actually pretty damn good.

synchronizing the dancing was a lot harder than the mini-games.. without macro's its near impossible. I managed to get my HQ swimsuit in about an hour and a half. Hardest mini-game was spotting the difference.. high # on my server was 26 i think

Forget that chocobo game.. Would prefer had it been less laggy and you could move using your keys instead of selecting each time.

Chocobo catching reminded me of a much less responsive Jak & Daxter minigame in the first town to get a power cell. <___<;;

F8, orly? It didn't work for me since neither Mumor nor Ullegore are "green-name" NPCs. And unless you have emote filter on you're gonna have a hard time seeing anything in the log, especially when your frame rate is 6.5-7.0

F8 worked for me just fine. And going in with filtered emotes is pretty much required for that event.

Why'd you macro /ta <stnpc>? I just stood between Mumor and Ullegore and turned after I had my spiel. So I faced Ullegore when cheering Mumor, when the dance came up, F8ed him, turned around to face Mumor, did the dance, F8ed Mumor, turned to Ullegore once again.

Or skipped the cheering process completly and read fanfiction (does anybody know a place for good fanfiction without the player characters being the stars?)

Monsters aren't green names either, but it works on them. F8 targets the neastest NPC, no exceptions. The only way it would not work would be if you weren't facing them, which means you either didn't try, or you're a moron.

The dancing crap was easy once I figured out you can stand behind ullegore, hit f8 to target him then mumor is one tab away. I gotta say though, the mini-games were MUCH better. There's nothing really entertaining about spamming /cheer & /clap for 30 minutes to an hour (though it could have been worse). Even the totally bullshit chocobo one was fun. If they brought back Test of Courage, this would have been the best fucking FFXI event ever.

Not in campaign to see the arbiter. :\ It can be literally right in front of you, but if another NPC is nearby it won't target the CA. Fuck you F8 quasi exemption.
