Has anyone found out where the Airy Buckler comes from/drops from?

I've heard it was a possible rare drop off Sandworm NMs. That's unsubstantiated rumor AFAIK though, so take it with a grain of salt.

I think that everything in the last update that hasn't been found is being suggested as a possible rare drop off Sandworm NM's.

It just looks like SE added a couple of items that haven't been implemented yet. This is not without precedence.

How often do the above jobs even use a shield? DNC typically goes /nin, THF also goes /nin and PUP is typically using H2H. I can't think of any real situation where any of those jobs would want to use a shield, and if you are going /WAR or /SAM for Thief, then Tatami is probably a better shield choice. I can only see a DNC/WAR or DNC/SAM using this and even then it would be extremely situational.

I would absolutely love having that shield. I think I would use it over tatami on my THF if I went /WAR or /SAM to an event, just for the 1% haste factor. On my DNC, if I actually happen to go a LS event on it, I go /SAM so that shield would help alot (especially since I don't even have one right now period).

I would think that'd be pimp for THF/WAR in merits...I've honestly never seen a DNC sub something other than NIN before.

I don't think I've ever personally seen a THF sub anything but NIN, either, lol. It seems like /WAR would be sweet for merits but I'm not a THF, not my department.

Thanks for the responses, I thought it might be from the sandworm also, but It looks like only time will tell for this drop.

I was hoping to get it for my DNC, as I tend to sub SAM quite a lot and having those stats extra would be great, but as it was said above it's situational.
