Deejay I poke and prod out of love, I think you are retarded sometimes but its all in fun man lol. Truth is everyone in this thread agree or disagree makes posting here fun. I am a football NUT and I like being around others NUTS. That does not sound right.....

Sometimes some quotes are just SOOOO awesome. That was one of those quotes and that is the first time you have ever admitted that it was stupid and what not. You're right, I do and say stupid shit all the time, you should see me in RL so it doesnt bother me. Feel free to throw quotes in my face....

I will throw you a bone; Kyle Orton will be lead Da Bears to the playoffs and be called get a max extension at the end of the season! Sad thing is that I am serious, wait and see.

    Edit: Randy Moss.

The Bears actually have a decently favorable schedule compared to the Vikings and Packers.

Edit: Maybe, I'm talking out of my ass and not looking it up. Going off memory that is probably faulty.

Edit: Only have to play 2 of last years playoff teams on the road. Indi and Green Bay. The rest of their road games are actually winnable, save maybe Minnesota on the road. But it's a divisional game, could swing either way.

When was the beginning exactly? The day Favre said "I want back in" like a month ago they should've traded Rodgers? This whole thing isn't Rodgers saying "No, fuck you, I've waited so long, it's my turn" - Rodgers has been impressively good about keeping his head down, waiting, learning, etc.

You really think they should've TRADED Rodgers because Favre changed his mind on a whim? If they'd said "ok Favre, you get another season, Rodgers can be your backup again" fine. But trading him? That is completely fucking ridiculous. Sorry Tyche, I love ya, but you need your head examined.

The front office of the Packers is just fine. It's Favre who thinks he knows everything, sees the big picture. Favre needs to realize he's a better QB when he's actually listening to his coaches. He needs to realize that GB was ridiculously close to a superbowl with the tools - not flashy free-agent signings, but the TEAM, that the front-office put around him, and that Green Bay would've loved to have him come back for another year - hell most people (myself excluded) expected him to. But no. He retired, went out after a very good season of a spectacular career, and Green Bay said "Favre we love you we hate to see you go *slurp slurp*" And then? They looked ahead. And Favre got cold and lonely. And he wanted attention. And he started writing bad poetry and concocted reasons why it wasn't his fault that he retired. And then he started talking to his buddies in Minnesota and got this half-cocked notion in his stupid head that the Packers would release him.

And then everyone in Green Bay said "really dude? really? yeah, get the fuck out of here with that bullshit, I hope you rot on the Jets. I love ya Favre, but fuck you."

On a side note, my friend who is a huge Bears fan despite being from Wisconsin (traitor) wants Favre to be released, have the Bears sign him, and then sit him on the bench, just so Lovie Smith can have a press conference before a Packers game and say "We got yo leada!"

GOD DAMMIT I LOST MY POST Time to try to tie it all back together..

From a GM perspective. I'm trading Rodgers, I'm getting MORE VALUE from my trade. I'm getting THE BEST starter. Not only that, I drafter a brilliant college QB. Potentially the best of the bunch. When I say brilliant, I mean brilliant. Highest Wonderlic score. Aced it. That's great news playing a position that is largely a mental challenge. Why do I need Rodgers. I have my future and I have my now. What's to win for me by keeping Rodgers? At least if I take Favre and fail, Favre takes the heat, not me, I keep my job. I trade Favre, I dump Favre, start Rodgers, and Rodgers fails...my job is on the line.

You're saying dump Rodgers because you think that Brohm will be a better QB next year than Rodgers. It's possible, but yeah, you're silly.

What if Favre is good for 2? I think he's good for two. You're insults of my intelligence is not as severe. Admit it, you're buying what I'm cooking aren't ya!

Almost everything you've said pertaining to his mindset is against the grain of the interviews he's conducted. You said you haven't been paying attention to all of it, maybe you should, because it's making your arguments uneducated.

You know, potential #1 QB picks doesn't mean a whole lot about the quality of player. ASk Tim Couch and Ryan Leaf. If were talking quality right now, Favre is proven and has played a million games without missing, Rodgers injured and didn't start the game.

As far as the whole KC bullshit, you said the o-line wins you 13 games. It didn't. Defense helped, 2 players playing their best seasons and a HoF TE. If it was all o-line, they'd of done a little better than not even getting above .500 the season before and after. Say what you want, Holmes was a good fucking back pre-injury, If you can't realize that, you, I don't know, it's just amazingly stupid.
Well I was going to go into how Rich Gannon's not going to turn the Raiders into a Super Bowl contender, and how Peyton Manning is doing just dandy, but if you're just going to be a douchebag and spout out bullshit and insults because you know you can't make a valid argument, there's no point.

protip: rodgers doesn't get injured if favre isn't out hurt in the first place, there is no more possible value, period, than a fully developed ready to go very young franchise quarterback, and the wonderlic test is about as hard as a g.e.d.

I've decided, my plan is fucking brilliant. I think I'm the smartest man alive. I need a GM job. I just read what I typed. I feel so good about it that I might go have sex for the first time in a week. I feel good right now.

Hadn't read this but yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

When you think of the packers you think of 3 things, Lombardi, championships, and Favre, in that order. While he was being upset with the management for not getting him Moss or even Keyshawn or something, they were busy building a dominating defense and finding young wide receivers that would perform for him and still be there after. The have built Super Bowl caliber teams more than once, they know what the hell they're doing.

There's a reason they're billionaire businessmen and successful nfl super bowl champion owners while you're flinging insults on a forum from your cell phone while running over small children on your way home from your 9 to 5.

I never said Favre was right about bitching about coaching, or bitching about lack of FA endeavors. I said he's the best option right now. Think of him like Kobe, he bitches and moans, but you don't fucking trade him. Keep the best player on your team.
Also, the Packers don't have this Billionaire Businessman owner. They are owned by shareholders. And I work 7:30-whenever I decide to leave. Usually around 3:30-4:30 thank you very much.

I guess their fairly easy schedule last year had nothing to do with their record? That and before Favre, the Packers were a joke, and after Favre, they win a Super Bowl. Go figure. D: I don't see how trading/releasing your best player can be helpful to a team; whether he's a drama queen or not.

Oh it did, that's why I'm keeping Favre. Brutal schedule this year that may only produce a .500 record. .500 with Favre and my ass is safe. .500 with Rodgers and I'm hoping I keep my job.

Edit: And I've never hit a child. I've hit a dog, and I felt terrible.

Edit again, the Packers need Mitch Kupchak.
