Seriously, inside connections or not, it's been made clear all along that they will not send him to Minnesota, period, and I'm just going to have to go with the word of the dude's freaking agent as of a couple hours ago over an analyst.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that there was a misinterpreting somewhere along the line and Clayton was probably listing what Favre would like the most.

And you've never seen me once say "he just wants to play anywhere". No, he just wants to play, and he wants to play for a decent team with a half-assed decent roster. You can go back to our previous exchange when I was talking about even with Favre, tampa isn't a contender. Favre is going to go only where he wants. Re Favre: You have to be anti-Favre or completely oblivious to his mindset. He was willing to go to Tampa...you think that Favre thinks he automatically makes that team a championship contender. He has a better shot in green bay. Favre wants to play, it's as simple as that. Maybe he wants to be choosey about his teams, but he's obviously willing to play for teams that aren't favorites to win. Have you watched any of his recent interviews, because your point of view and reality seem to be complete opposites.

Really? A team with a great defense a good oline decent receivers and amazing running, playing in the division with a packers team you claim will be under 500 and a bears team that hasn't had even a backup quality quarterback for however many years and the lolions is not favored to win?

The Vikings will win their division without Favre lol, when I'm talking "winning" I'm talking conference. I picked a Favre-less Vikings to win that division in my first post.

The Vikings are favored to win the NFC north (per Vegas betting #s) if neither team has Favre. With Favre, the Vikings only get better, or the Packers become the favorites (if he's starting).

That being said, as a die-hard Packers fan, I still hope he goes to Tampa (who is a playoff contender)

Oh, no. I agree. I thought you meant favorite in the NFC North. D: Sorry. I figure the Vikings win at least 10 with him at QB and if AD stays healthy. Vikings would be close behind the Cowboys though, I think. That's my opinion.

Vikings have what it takes to win. Their big hole though is their pass defense which is horrible. Their rush D/Rushing O is good, if Favre starts, it'd sure that up.. so yeah. They need to work on stopping the pass or Dallas would crush them easily.

who the hell do you pick as all time best 49'er between Montana and Rice? and that's not even acknowledging the allowance for debate of Ronnie Lott or Steve Young

Hrm. I'd pick Montana. You don't have a franchise without a QB. A WR like Rice doesn't come along often, but Montana did a lot with nothing. He was great, so yeah. I'd pick Montana.

If Favre wanted to play "to win" you think he's satisfied with just making the playoffs? He was knocked out of the NFC championship last year, if we was only wanting to play to win, it's winning the conference. Also: I think QBing in that era was easier. Not saying he's overrated, but he didn't have to deal with the complex defensive schemes like there are now. Rice however, he is -inarguably (aside from deejay)- the best WR ever in an era that there were less rules catering to wideouts. I can see the argument either way.
