You think they will beat a healthy STL on the road? Don't confuse STL for a terrible team just because of all the injuries they had last year. Bulger/Jackson/Bruce/75% of the Oline/Dline. Denver will win, especially if it is for a playoff spot late in the season.

I think they will either beat STL or ARI on the road. One of those teams will likely be mediocre or worse, I think it will be STL. Their big weapon is Steven Jackson who, when healthy, is a stud. But Bulger hasn't been the same since Martz left, and he might well be over the hill (he's 31 and missed substantial time 2 of the last 3 seasons). Their WR's are no longer stars either (not that Bennett ever was one).

Hell, Buffalo might even fall completely apart at QB that Buffalo is drafting a QB in the 1st round next year. What they have isn't good enough and doesn't have any leadership qualities.

I think Trent Edwards gives them a better chance to win J.P. Lohsman. The other skill positions and defenese are solid, if not spectacular. I'm not saying this team is going to be world beaters, I just think they are in the middle of the pack in the AFC and that their schedule's going to put them in the playoffs.

Of course, come Week 1 all these picks will go to shit and who knows what's going to happen?

They play @ kansas city in week 16, possible win, but I'll only take 5 and that's probably still generous.

The Bills are no where near as bad as the Dolphins. Then again, I don't think the Dolphins were as bad as they seemed last year. Gotta remember they did lose Ronnie Brown fairly early on. Still. I don't see more than 4 wins.

Miami gets Ronnie Brown back this year, and that will be the difference between this season and last season. *(If he doesn't get hurt again)* Ronnie Brown was on pace to have a 2200 total yard season, and that is better than LT and Brian Westbrook.

NFC East: Dallas - You already know
NFC North: Minnesota - Great runner and superb defense.
NFC South: Carolina - Healthy Delhomme with a healthy Steve Smith, makes for a deadly combo.
NFC West: Seattle - J. Jones ran well against the Seahawks, maybe he'll run well with them.
Wild Cards: New York Giants/Eagles - Almost picked Redskins but Philly's CB's match up well against Washington's WR's

AFC East: New England
AFC North: Pittsburgh
AFC South: Indianapolis
AFC West: San Diego
Wild Cards: Jacksonville and Cleveland

Biggest Bust: Tom Brady - Only because he won't live up to last season. 50 TD's, several of them hail mary's to Randy Moss.

Rookie of the year: Vernon Gholston

MVP: Tony Romo - Young receivers, T.O., Witten, better RB's, it's MVP or bust.

Best Record: Dallas Cowboys, improved on the 1 spot they needed, DB's. Hopefully the defense and Crayton won't cost us anything this season.

Comeback Player of The Year: Making it a 2-peat, with Greg Ellis last year, and this year Adam Pacman Jones (If he gets reinstated).

Super Bowl: Indianapolis vs Dallas Cowboys - Great offenses, two of the best QB's, Safeties (Hamlin/Sanders), RB's(Addai/Barber), WR's(Wayne/Harrison/T.O), TE's(Clark/Witten), Dwight Freeney vs Dallas's O-Line, Dallas's CB's vs Peyton Manning and WR's. And almost forgot, Pacman Jones vs Indy's Kickoff Coverage team.

Superbowl Champ: Dallas

I predict the Bears will win it all. They will go 16-0 and Kyle Orton will have a 125 QB rating throughout the regular season; did I mention he would throw no interceptions? Marty Booker will lead the league in receptions, reception yards, YAC, and TD's. Also, Kevin Jones will lead the league in rushing and rushing touchdowns, even though he'll be out for much of the season.

Depending on how healthy the Bears D is and how well their O.line will play they have a fucking beast @ running back in matt forte. I watched this guy last year when he played for tulane and he ripped teams new assholes, sometimes rushing for 340yards in a few games.

I think if he stays healthy he will be a steal for the bears tbh.

Yeah I am still waiting to hear whether Henne or Beck is taking first team reps or which has the lead in regards the starting. Either way it's going to be tough for the Fins I think.

Time to spout off about NFL Films/Network.

I am really torn. I love NFL Films' Hard Knocks series. When I started working there last year it was the big project so we watched it in the building's theater every week and I got really into it. I gave a shit about the Chiefs. This year it's Dallas though. Fucking Dallas. Two of my best friends at NFL Films are Dallas fans so they must be pretty happy, but I'm torn.

I don't know if they're going to do an America's Game for the 2007 Giants but I'd assume they will. I know for a fact they're going to do a new series called The Lost Ring about the most memorable Super Bowl losers (the idea was inspired solely on the basis, "What if the Patriots don't win the SB?") and it will start with 2007 Patriots. I know they plan to do four others. I figure they have to do the Bills and the Vikings (both 0-4). After that you could make a case for the 1968 Colts, the 1980 Eagles, 2001 Rams.

I'm going to seriously miss that place this fall. Fuck HBO for not renewing the contract to Inside the NFL and effectively destroying my chance to get a job.

Honestly I just want them to start Orton. I was pissed when they first benched him his rookie year, his arm sucks but he doesn't do stupid shit, and for the least decade the only thing that has really lost them games is quarterbacks doing really stupid shit. I think 'game manager' is said as a negative too often, when you have D and special teams like they do you really just need to move the chains, score 2-3 times a game, and don't toss interceptions.

At any rate I'm still sad they lost Berrian, I don't know why they give away their best offensive player every year. I'm glad Benson was cut though, and I'm really glad Harris/Hester/Briggs/Urlacher are locked down contract-wise now. I'm in between being really excited and really scared about the upcoming season, lol.

Well they didn't plan on doing one for the 2006 Colts, but ultimately decided they should (it's not included in the box set, however) and it turned out to be massively entertaining. The 85 Bears, 68 Jets, 66 and 67 Packers, 06 Colts, 96 Packers were all great installments. I doubt they'll interview the vet for it. If you're unfamiliar with the format, they interview three people per installment and edit them all together with footage.

I like the lost ring idea. It gives the fans (like me) a chance to see something special about a team that was memorable but ultimately fell short (I'm almost certain they'll do the 1980 Eagles, Ron Jaworski works there). Like it or not, the 07 Patriots were a good story.

What was so great about the Patriots other than the fact that they were good? Belichick is a cheat and he's one of the most boring interviews ever. They've already had so many shows, I'm tired of looking at Bruschi/Harrisons/Faulk's face. Do we really need to commemorate another Patriots season? I mean they didn't even win, if they do the Lost Ring show before the Giants one I'm never watching NFL Films again.

The Lost Ring idea is cool for great teams that may have been forgotten. Like Jim Kelly's/Andre Reed's Bills. But the 07 Patriots? Ugh.

Well it is the biggest bust in all of Super Bowl history. How do you go 16-0 and lose in the Super Bowl? Ultimately the Pats get a lot of attention because they're popular winners. People buy into the Pats. I personally can't stand them.

That being said, watching the Pats/Ravens game on Monday night in December with Brian Baldinger and my producer Mark Chmielinski was one of the greatest nights of football I've ever seen. Every week became a, "Will they/Won't They?" type of deal and that's what made the season so special. Ultimately they'll be remembered as losers like all of the other great teams that didn't cut it in the playoffs (98 Vikings, 92 49ers, 05 Colts, 06 Chargers, 76 Steelers, 01 Steelers).

2007 Giants will be airing in September.
