I saw "revamp the loot tables of Jailers" and for a second I thought "what? they're adding the torques so they will drop finally?" then I realised that was a false hope, I ain't gonna get no fort torque. T.T

Sweet, hope they really do add stuff to sky.
Windowed mode is not windower, do not ask for enhancements to it, we 100% will not get them. Ask for '"GUI improvements", ask to be able to see party members mp and tp, ask for longer macros, ps2 can do these things so there's a chance SE will add them to all versions. Also, the official windowing tool is looking to stay the same. Square-Enix, however, did admit that they will consider requests for features to be added to it that do not significantly unbalance the game compared to those without access to windowed mode on a PC.
GDI Vajra already. New WS sounds interesting for my other jobs, pretty sure it won't top MS/DE/EV for damage, and have some retarded aftereffect. Offhand with attacks twice that's not an 8DMG dagger or a lowranked sword'll be nice just for that though.
Also, what's the obsession with campaign? Shit's boring, very few people do it unless they have to (be it for gear, or because else they're sitting on their ass lfp on their 62 THF). Can only hope it has nothing to do with that boring grindfest.
Yeah bonuses to Accuracy and Attack, as well as occasionally attacking twice is soooo retarded.
MMORPG much?
edit: also a bit odd coming from someone with an avatar of Ian McConnell's illustration of a mithra, snapping over the monotony of standard exping. Defending cities from gnats/orcs/yagudo/fomor/skeletons/quadav/gigas/corse/arihman/taurus/etc alongside badass NPCs like Fafnir and such is much more interesting than a lot of things people do here on a daily basis (insert killing puks/imps or sitting in BD/VoS/DA, blah blah blah)
Campaign is more boring than normal Partying and Meriting?
>.<
I don't parse or anything and I find campaign the most boring thing to do in this game. I was top rank , and now it's just been dropping and dropping and I have no energy to maintain it. So dumb, should be 90 days penalty not 30.
I have fought in every zone (except the three strongholds actually, which I hear are really fun), against every group of mobs, in all kinds of different situations.
When I get bored with one area, I go somewhere else, or just pick up and do something entirely different, super casual and random is fun.
You only lose ranks if you talk to the evaluation NPC, or are you using the C.A. warps to get around the past so you need Sigil?
I lose them, because I try to get my rank back, but after 3 campaigns or so I realize why I don't do them anymore, and then before I know it, 30 days pass and it's over.
People say it's different every time, how? You're fighting the same monsters over and over in different zones, just like merit partying, except you get no cures if you're a melee, especially in bastok/windurst since the NPCs know cure1 only < ---- gigantic oversight, you can't really be involved in campaign before 50, and after 50 mages have cure1 2 3 4.
So true. Some people have read the older interviews and when they read SE stating something like they won't enhance the Window mode, they think that = no interface changes, and it wouldn't (not that their window mode doesn't need some adjusting on its own...). Window mode and the interface are separate things. They are tied together for Windower for the obvious reasons.
Hold on. The weapon itself'll be quite good most likely, with the double attack. The retarded after effect was a joke, and I'm not the only one who made it. See MS enhanced crits etc. I'm pretty happily surprised really, was very hopeful with the initial announcement, then came last patch with blank stats, and now occasionaly attacks twice, woo. Really want to see Vajra stats. Really.
You're right, meritting is a boring grind as well, but it's tolerable if you go out maybe once a week with friends, for a short stint. I'm just saying it's just as boring as the rest, and there's only two real reasons people do it at all. It's not at all the norm to have maxed your rank by now, why would you? Either you need gear from it, or you happen to be levelling/meritting on a job with a bad inviterate.edit: also a bit odd coming from someone with an avatar of Ian McConnell's illustration of a mithra, snapping over the monotony of standard exping. Besieged was defending cities from cool mobs with cool NPC's alongside you as well, but it's universally shat upon, that's just a bonus It's most definitely better than besieged, it occurs more, doesn't cockblock people who need an npc in a town and the xp and some of the equipment is actually worth your time. But it's more like besieged 2.0 than assault 2.0, which is/was a great new event, catering to both the hardcore and the casual.
That's all, I don't think it's bad, personally I don't like it, but it's definitely not as awesome or must-be-done event it's being made out to be here.
PS: I really like his style, and those two comics about him returning to FFXI were so true :3
MehThe information came fast and furious, as you can see, with other topics touched on Including PUP automaton AI (no changes coming there at the moment, SE feels attachments are sufficent)
So much for seperate timers...
I agree that campaign is extremely boring right now. No matter what you do, you never have the feeling you're fighting something or helping your nation, you just...hit stuff to get your xp/AN. Because it's hard to cap xp on most job, you actually have to grind and take decision that doesnt really benefit anyone to get those points (hi2u song spam, melee whm, solo rdm that fight 2 miles away from the tower)
Giving people more temporary items (no, I'm not spending 5min to buy them individually...when I can), add more dynamics to the conquest system (when you win, you get the area, when you lose, it goes to beastman), and fix the shitty Campaign Ops that no one is doing because they are too hard would help campaigns a lot.
Well, wiki's writeup is up: http://forums.ffxiclopedia.org/viewt...st=0&sk=t&sd=a
Whoever asked these questions needs to be banned from these events:
Oh and they mentioned this later:Q:Why are their ghosts (including of kids) in Gusgen Mines?
A:There was a huge accident in the mines and all the miners, and communications people were killed.
Q:Who is Uggalepih?
A:Goddess that the Tonberry worship. Some say she was disgraced by Altana.
Q:What was the day-to-day life of the Zilart Kuluu like?
A:They cannot answer this since what is revealed will depend on how a user plays the game.
Q:Al'Taieu past?
A:They cannot answer this since what is revealed will depend on how a user plays the game.
Q:What compels the beastmen?
A:Depends on who you ask, but according to hume legend the hume were created by Altana while the beastmen were created by Promathia. Now the differences culture, religion, etc. cause strife.
Q:What are dancing weapons?
A:The weapon itself is a metal creature created by black magic that has intelligence and language. They use an earth spirit to control themselves.
Don't know if I mentioned this or if was said elsewhere... Sundi and Mocchi also told me that they are adjusting the pop on AV so that it will pop more enough than it does now. That is the only planned AV adjustment.
Someone needs to slip SE a note telling them to go back and reset all repop timers for NM-popping ???s to the new ZNM standard of ~2 minutes. Many thanks in advance.
I suspect there isn't any secret to pandemonium warden, it's just an 18hour fight. At dinner I also spoke briefly with Sundi and Mocchi about Absolute Virtue. Mocchi plays FFXI a lot, and so I asked if his linkshell has ever attempted or beaten Absolute Virtue. He said that they gave trying up a long time ago. Sundi and Mocchi assured me the key to defeated AV was definitely in the video. Sundi also mentioned that AV is about an 18 hour battle - not including the time it takes to kill Jailer of Love. He said if you get really lucky with the order in which AV uses it's abilities you may get it down to a 9 or 10 hour battle. This explains why so many people can use their 2 hour multiple times in the course of the battle as shown in the video they created. Knowing the estimated length of a complete AV battle, it may be worth going back and re-analyzing the video for clues.
More than likely, and a far easier one than AV since there can only be so many mobs to go through.
Also, who are the fucking cocksicles who asked those retarded God damn questions? I knew half that shit before I started playing and the other half like 2 months in.
