Pretty certain SE said themselves when Seigan TE was coming out it's effect would diminish with time.

I don't think anyone doubts that.
Now does the counter effect chance lessen as time elapses or as TE's recast counter goes closer to 0? And no this is not the same question asked twice
It seems exactly the same to me... Whether right after I use it or later.
Im pretty sure the ability to anticipate and keep TE up starts off strong and diminishes over time.
The other day while doing the Puk ISNM, It popped its clones while i had hate on Drg/Sam, I popped TE and got Eleven anticipates in very short succession before they got through to me. Was pretty cool
Before that and in the way i normally use Seigan TE, im usually lucky to see 5
Oh man, that's been said like 5 times in this thread now lol... No one is debating the diminishing returns over time aspect of third eye, at all. It is 100% known to be fact and has been for a long time now.
What people are asking is what effects your chance to counter, and whether it increases/decreases over time. And, I believe it does not and is an equal chance to counter regardless of the circumstances/time past.
Yeah, pretty sure it's just your acc/eva/mob acc/eva being checked there.
There WAS a time when a counter prolonged TE effect, in that it didn't take an eye.
Now though you can (and I have) pop TE, get an anticipate, counter, and the effect drops, however it worked before seems to have been changed too, because I had a ridiculous counter rate at times, and now it's more in line with what is reported, 10-15% generally, once every two or three eyes it seems (assuming the 3-4 eyes average).
Anybody else notice a marked increase of TE length when you have seigan up but are not engaged to the mob?
After Seigan/Hasso came out, but before they adjusted Seigan/TE in Ballista.
I doubt that it was just me being lucky, since it was around that time which I hit 74, and while farming Bseals/Kseals started getting parrying skillups, and kept at it, soloing 74-75 on Ep's in Ule-tab (parrying 70~ > 130~ + a crapload of BS/KS too), and it was remarkably simple because Counters always resulted in longer TE's, and I was delighted to see a counter, since they never took the last eye.
After that update, I thought I was crazy for a while, because it wasn't listed in the details, and noone else seemed to notice it, but going from 2-5 Anticipates + 1-3 counters > 2-5 Anticipates + counters total was noticeable as hell to me.
well they adjusted it in ballista pretty fast (wasn't that like, all of a month later?) so it's possible I never experienced a counter before they stealthed it lol.
It might have been, I want to say it was a little longer, but I was in insane hermit mode up in Ule-tab at that point, I just remember killing tons of buffalo's, rabbits, worms, and bats, lots of parrying skillups, a bunch of seals, and Anticipates + Counters owning things and making me hard as hell to kill.
Between October 19th 2006 and March 8th 2007 is when Seigan/TE counters didn't take eyes, cause the march 8th ballista adjustment is when the change happened, I remember it was a while after hitting 75, I got to do a merit party, and a couple of other things like limbus/dynamis with it, and was in the middle of soloing another merit/skilling parrying more when the Mar 8th update hit, nerfing my super S/TE some, but giving Signet bonuses which was a good trade.
