They were just making fun of you because there is no such thing as a singing torque, only string and wind.. and there's nothing wrong with having a good string setup for when you need a slightly longer/bigger aoe horde. If anything, it makes them a better BRD than one who doesn't have it as long as they realize mary's is better for resistant mobs.

Most bards don't even have string fully levelled. Don't knock a bard that does- levelling wind is trivial. To have a maxed out string skill actually sets you apart from many bards.

Nursemaid Harp is a good instrument with better duration and wider AE range (with a small sacrifice to magic accuracy since wind is higher). The only gimp here is the troll laughing.

Can I post a PLD/NIN with no haste gear at all and using Novia (and boxers mantle)?

Well I was having an issue and somehow my Novia earring ended up on me lol I don't wear that on PLD it was a mistake .. as to haste gear I do macro that in for Ni and Ichi and flash ... no reason to wear it full time. And If you had checked me again you would have seen the Resentment cape that I changed to instead of Boxer's Mantle. I did shield block quite a bit so not seeing a problem with that mantle anyway. Just wanted to clear that up ...

I know a lot of PLDs that dont full time haste gear and only use it for Shadows and Flash.

Is that wrong? Im not a PLD so I dont know but I was always told a good PLD has different sets for all that.

While normally I don't think it's a good idea to mock your own Linkshell members because of possible drama, this guy's RDM is a fucking mess. He has no business even being in a semi-decent shell looking that bad. I don't care what excuse he has.

He needs to join less end game shells and fucking farm for something better. He looks like one of those players that hit seek and got PTs just because he was a refresh monkey.

Looking at that picture again makes me sad. But yea, true, RDM's and BRD's can *almost* get away with it as long as they have haste and refresh respectively for RDM. And well BRD is self explanatory.

Thing is though is we're trying to help him some, he's fairly decent at the jobs he has and kinda nice so we haven't just kicked him yet. He hasn't been a member that long but we're really encouraging him to improve, lol.
