Alright, let's talk about Megaman 9 here. Some of you may think "oh whatever" but personally this is fuck amazing news. There have already been trailers for a while, but no thread has been made so here we go.
Story:
The game's story is that its been years since Dr. Wily's last attempt at global domination in Megaman 8. In the year 20XX (of course), some new robots have gone rampant and are attacking the city. However, these robots aren't Dr. Wily's! They were made by Dr. Light! In defense, Dr. Wily proclains his innocence on television and states he wants to build robots to fight Dr. Light's, but he needs money. He asks that the public of the world donate money to his Swiss bank account so he can fight against Dr. Light. He procedes to show a video of Dr. Light and Dr. Wily talking, with Dr. Light asking him to join him in world domination. Of course, Wily has changed his ways. Dr. Light is unsure as to why this is happening, and Megaman volunteers to go out with Rush and Beat at his side. Before he leaves, Dr. Light cautions him "Be careful! You haven't done this in a while!"

Dr. Light
Dr. Wily

Confirmed bosses:
DRN65: Concrete Man - Weapon: Concrete Shot - Shoots a glob of concrete that hardens when it hits the floor or a wall, allowing Megaman to climb onto it. It also turns enemies into blocks and can harden certain substances. Uses 2 units of energy.
DRN66: Tornado Man - Weapon: Tornado Blow - Forces all enemies upwards offscreen, instantly defeating them. While the tornadoes are still on the screen, Megaman can jump higher (only lasts for a second or two). This weapon takes the most weapon energy (1/4 of a bar).
DRN67: Splash Woman - Weapon: Laser Trident - A weapon with the ability to penetrate any enemies defenses. Perfect for sheilded enemies like Metools. Uses 0.5 units of energy.
DRN68: Plug Man - Weapon: Plug Ball - Creates a ball of electricity that travels along floors, walls and ceilings. It moves very quickly, and can be used to determine which floors are fake and which are real. When used mid-air, it falls directly to the ground. Uses 0.5 units of energy.
DRN69: Jewel Man - Weapon: Jewel Satellite - The best shield weapon there is. You can choose when to fire it. It reflects ALL projectiles, returning the damage back to the attacker. It takes multiple hits. Uses 4 units of energy.
DRN70: Hornet Man - Weapon: Hornet Chaser - Shoots hornets that home in on enemies and pick up items for you, a combination of Search Missile and Magic Card. If the hornet Defeats an enemy that drop an item, he'll bring it to you. Uses 1 unit of energy.
DRN71: Magma Man - Weapon: Magma Bazooka - Shoots magma in three directions. You can charge it up to deal more damage. Using it at point blank range deals far more damage than at a range. Uses 0.5 units of energy for uncharged, and 5 units for charged.
DRN72: Galaxy Man - Weapon: Black Hole Bomb - Creates a black hole that pulls in enemies and objects, similar to Saturn's weapon "Black Hole". Fire once to release a slow moving vortex forward, then fire again to open the black hole bomb. You can move it up or down with the d-pad before detonating it. Incredibly powerful, instantly kills 95% of all enemies and sucks up all projectiles. Uses 4 units of energy.

Information:
-The game is being created by IntiCreates. They were the ones responsible for the Megaman Zero and Megaman ZX games. Many of their members were former Capcom employees who worked on previous Megaman and Megaman X games (1-6 and X-X3). Keiji Inafune himself is producing the game, as per usual.
-For the first time in a classic Megaman games, one of the robots is a "woman".
-The game is supposed to push 8-bit graphics to their very limits to make it look as good as possible (which shouldn't be hard to do lol)
-The game is slated for a September Japanese release. I don't think NA/EU releases will be far behind.
-It will be available on all three consoles via WiiWare, Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.
-This is the first classic Megaman game in 11 years. Megaman 8 came out in 1997, although Megaman/Rockman and Bass/Forte did come out after and is a sequel, its not Megaman 9 (which I've been saying for a fucking decade).
-Protoman is a playable character, costing 200 Wii points to download.
-The game takes place after Megaman 8. Megaman and Bass/Rockman and Forte is said to occur in an alternate timeline (again with the alternate timelines)
-Plug Man is a pink robot with a plug for a head, obviously. He kind of reminds me of Spark Man. His stage's lights turn off in some areas, similar to Bright Man's stage. In the darkness, shadow copies of Megaman emerge to chase and attack him. http://blue-bomber.jvmwriter.org/med.../mm9_plug2.png
-There appears to be bolts to collect in the games. I haven't heard any talk of this, but watching the gameplay video for Plug Man's stage, you can clearly see bolts twice. Perhaps you can buy stuff? Not sure yet.
-There is no more charge shot or sliding in this one. http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3168726&p
-Rush's back spring returns. Chances are he can morph into a submarine and a jet like before too. Its probably safe to say you can call on Beat to assist you as well. http://blue-bomber.jvmwriter.org/med...9_tornado3.png (You can also see the bolt there)
-Minibosses are back. A flame dragon appears in Magma Man's stage, while an Elephant with a ball appears in some other stage. http://blue-bomber.jvmwriter.org/med...mm9_magma2.png
-There is a shop where you can buy bolts you find, like in Megaman 7, 8 and Rockman and Forte.
-The Devil type boss will not appear in this game.
-Sniper Joe and Mets are back.
