I think sound quality didn't get hit because we've all probably played better looking games with crappier music we all wish it wasnt looping over and over and over every 1:30 to 3:00 minutes.

It's my belief that if there is one thing that the the Capcom team in charge of the Rockman/Megaman series (including X/Zero/ZX/Legends) always did consistently great was music... even when you scale down to one instrument midi samples (wasnt there an MMX stage that was a remake of a Gun's n' Roses song?)

For example: check this remake of the Megaman 2 - Wily Castle stage 2 into a jrock kind of song as a nod to Ultraman

Edit: I watched their video review because I read it contained boss fight footage. From what it appears like, Jewel Man is weak to Black Hole Bomb and Hornet Man is also weak to Magma Bazooka. It also appears that Hornet Chaser picks up items for you, so its basically Search Man's Search Missile and Magic Man's Magic Card put together. Pretty nifty. It also appears that Jewel Satellite works the same as Leaf Shield... I hate Leaf Shield.

I really was thinking about this game during Ike downtime (7 nights, no power) when my only source of gaming was Megaman 2 on my sister's cellphone. The phone didn't do those songs justice though.

Could be worse, they could've bumped it for a game that wasn't going to KICK FUCKING ASS HELL YEAH. But waiting a week for Megaman 9 is still /sadface, even if I'll have The Duke to keep me company.

Protoman confirmed for playable character. Costs 200 Wii Points to purchase, lol. He also has costs on the Xbox/PS3 versions too. Kinda lame you have to pay though.

Protoman can charge and slide, as well as block projectiles with his shield.

So that's why they kept charging/sliding out, but really at 1200 wii points for the full package it sounds much better. Initially I was turned off by the idea of not being able to slide/charge, but if I can just buy protoman I'd be happy.

Nope, downloaded MM9 in about 1 minute. I'm playing it now! Yes! Megaman 9, finally!

Started off and beat Galaxy Man's stage. He's a pretty easy boss, and his stage isn't too difficult once you figure out to just take a step back when the orange robots try to grab you. As for Galaxy Man, fighting him is a cinch. His pattern involves flying around the top of the screen shooting a Black Hole Bomb at you. It'll follow and when it gets close, pulls you in. So just run away. Galaxy Man then teleports directly under it to give you collision damage. If you're far away enough, you can turn around and potshot him. Then he'll try to ram into you. He always delays his rush at you, so delay your jump over him. You can shoot him during this time. That's about everything he does. I'm moving onto Jewel Man's stage since Black Hole Bomb is his weakness. Also, Galaxy Man changes colours rapidly and looks kinda rainbowy, lol.

After you beat the first boss, you get a cutscene where the police take Dr. Light away. He looks so sad

Black Hole Bomb is a pretty good weapon. You shoot it first to send it slowly forward, then you can hit 1 again to open the bomb. It sucks it pretty much all projectiles and most enemies. However, its range is somewhat short, enemies have to be kinda close to be hurt at all.

Alright, onto Jewel Man's stage. His stage is a little bit more difficult because there are a lot of spikes around the chain platforms. There's also a small box near the end of the stage with a 1UP and some weapon energy inside, you'll need Hornet Chaser for that. As for fighting Jewel Man, even easier than Galaxy Man, at least with Black Hole Bomb. He starts the battle with Jewel Satellite already up, and just attempts to run at you. He jumps very high, however, HE ONLY JUMPS WHEN YOU JUMP. So do a short hop when he gets close and he'll jump over you. I assume you'll have to shoot between his jewels in order to attack him. However, with Black Hole Bomb, just put the bomb near him and it'll suck up the jewels, and damage him. Took about 3 Black Hole Bombs to defeat him. Next stage... let's see... HORNET MAN!
