    GeForce 8800GT problem

Just recently bought this couple of days ago. I updated the drivers etc...currently on 175.19. Then this happens. Sometimes it would do it after a few minutes, sometimes after a few hours. Any help appreciated.

That's called artifacting, and it's a sign that your card is overheating or is faulty in general. Get a program to measure your GPU temperature or open up your case and make sure the fan is ramping up on the card when it's supposed to.

figured it would be artifacting. if anything ill probably just RMA it but before i do, what would you prefer to use to measure GPU.

RivaTuner is a good one too.

well, i used GPU-Z and everything seems ok.

    GPU core - 600mhz
    GPU memory - 900mhz
GPU temp - 61-66c on crowded aery
    GPU temp - 58c
    PCB temp - 52c
    Fanspeed - 30%
    Fanspeed - 685 RPM

i was actually thinking of getting Thermalright HR-03 GT but my temp seems ok at this moment. suggestions?

Increase fan speed to 50% and see if you still get artifacts. I have profiles set up on mine where if the temps hit certain degrees the fan will auto adjust accordingly. RivaTuner ftw :D

Fan speed is only at 30% and you're in the mid 50-60s? That's really good for an 8800 GT.
