I like alot of other ppl thathave posted just view the movies as different, although alot worse, different so I can't complain too much. Really just like them for the special effects.
Don't think there's much I can add to this. Movies have been poorly done, more so recently.
But I feel like saying: why the hell are they making two movies out of the last book instead of Half-Blood Prince.
I too thought this was the one that was going to have two parts. I hope they didn't cut out any of the hot chicks that would suck. I never read this book I stopped at Order of the Phoenix, I never even finished it. Is this book all about Voldemort though? I think it would be cool if he was involved a lot more.
To a degree, yes, its all about Voldemort, but its not told from his perspective. I hope its good, I've enjoyed all the movies so far. They'll never be able to please everyone, never mind fanboys.
Book 6 = filler book for #7...
Movies are great
Books are pro
they are different, i cant wait for this movie, nor can i wait for #7 movies, they better not make it total utter shit too... id cry
I've loved the movies so far, haven't even touched one of the books. As much as people say the books are better, I will just be seeing the movies and enjoying them for what they are.
This one looks pretty dark, and I am sure I will enjoy it as much as the others.

I too think that the movies are poorly done. The movies seem to just speed through scenes, and assume you've read the books (which I have, but still). I mean, I don't expect everything to be perfect, but there's just something about the movies...they just don't have the Harry Potter feel to them, if that makes any sense. A big part of that is Dumbledore, which most have already pointed out as not being anything like the one from the books.
Lord of the Rings is, in my opinion, the pinnacle of book to movie transition. They changed/cut a lot of things, but it still felt like Lord of the Rings, and most of the major stuff still happened, and everything was all tied together very well.
With all of that said, I'll still go see it, just because I like Harry Potter.
New Half-Blood Prince Trailer - The Leaky Cauldron
soooo good
omg
*edit* pretty sure there was another thread, but this was the one that turned up in a search. sue me
Interesting... worth the necrobump imo. Good job Barty.
The further and further we get in to the Harry Potter film series, the more and more I just want to cry.
The movies are utter garbage, I wish they could have gotten someone whose at least READ the novels to write/direct the movies.
makes me want to reread the series again XD
But I usually wait till after watching a new hp movie, cause I don't want to nitpick
I wish they would have had it come out this month instead of July. ><
In all honesty, this book was my absolute favorite out of them all. I really cannot wait for this movie.
I'll watch it if Ginny has a hot kissing scene (+ more hopefully) with Harry
(I think it's in the 6th book which Harry starts to fall for her?)
didnt read the last 2 books, did the series ever come back from the terrible waste of space book 5 was?
