New york city is in dire need of police officers, they give them complete shit for pay ($30,000 year I believe?........ while her in boston, MA -Police College Interns- make $25,000 a year) With that shitty pay, and the requirement to live in the city, they cant get many good quality applicants. So for a incident like this, they would not lose a officer...... he will probably get some desk job or dispatch in a operations role or something.

On accusations (or proof per video) that requires a high investigation, and a possible lawsuit. Most agencies across the country take away the officers firearm, radio, badge, police ID. He is still a sworn officer, and even if the department did fire him after the investigation.....he will get his job back a year later after a civil service lawsuit against the NYPD anyways.
