Vrtra: Ninja'd?

Before the skeptics throw out their opinions, let me just say that my linkshell kills Vrtra every two weeks on Wednesday nights. With the past few maintenances screwing us over, we haven't had the chance to try it on a Wednesday until tonight. I'm just laying that on the line so people understand that we didn't do anything different than what we normally do. We kited Vrtra with +12% movement speed around the room and the following happened:

Did they ninja Vrtra so you can't kite it anymore? Are we gonna have to go back to trying TP burn or something? Seems strange that SE would change this and not tell anyone at all... or maybe it was just bugged? Whatever it is, it pissed us off. Gathering 30 members for this shit to have it be unkillable using a conventional strategy is just plain aggrevating.

Any thoughts would be appreciated I guess. Has this happened to anyone else??

Why don't you just straight tank it? Its easier for linkshells that can handle that lol

Haven't toyed with Vrtra in so long...dumb questions, but were you following the usual oval path? Running at all towards the door? Really odd that they would change it without mentioning it..

It was mentioned a few weeks back that he now has draw in, cannot find it due to laziness, but it too took a LS by surprise.

I guess straight tank only now I wonder if that was their intent for fighting this mob, TP on skeletons, WS on Vrtra ?

We ran it TP burn yesterday, damage was normal but it flailed us at 70% cos it was spamming draw in on whoever had hate exactly like those screenshots, and as you know.. wyrm draw in can often induce a flail.

We fought him the other night TP-burn style against a wall (bad initial voke, didn't move from facing wall...).

Needless to say people got drawn-in from close-range. Is this a normal glitch (i.e. being against a wall against Vrtra straight tanking?). Started to spin and sure enough *poof* Spike Flail [that wasn't stunned...]

Haven't killed Vrtra in a couple months, and wasn't aware of this Draw-in, I also thought it was a glitch.

we faced the same issue last friday at vrtra about the draw in but we adjusted to the situation

of course in the middle of our vrtra fight, a GM appears in the middle of the room for no apparent reason

Another LS has this problem fighting vrtra yesterday. At first I thought it was just the w.legs.

I actually think it's better when things go wrong at Vrtra. It just means we get to leave earlier.

I haven't been near Vrtra in forever, but I've had similar problems with Ouryu regarding draw-in when in front of him.

I can be standing on his foot right next to the other tank, clearly within his melee range, and he'll draw me in repeatedly and start whapping me with his tail.

And it only happens to me. No one else, and no matter where I stand. And he's not up against the edge of the island either.

I've come to the conclusion he just hates me.

does that glitch still exist where you can claim the adds with a RDM1's Dia and it'll still hit the tank and MPK them?
